Israeli Baseball League!

This just strikes me as being amazingly cool. There's a professional baseball league in Israel. Most of the players are immigrants -- baseball is largely an immigrant sport in Israel right now, just like cricket was during baseball's formative days here in the US.

Now, the article has some things interesting -- the announcers stumbling over common baseball terms -- to things obvious -- the hot dogs are kosher, a-dur. But the true baseball fan is going to want to know: where's the box score?

Or maybe I'm just weird.

The website is a bit shabby right now -- although if the box score looks VERY familiar, it's because Major League Baseball (through MinorLeagueBaseball.com) appears to be powering at least some of the stats section for the IBL. This leads me to hold out hope that there will be live Gameday in the IBL eventually.
