Okay, so Floyd's doing a serviceable job in right as I write and you read this, at least with the bat. His defense is...adequate, at best and we all know his Achilles tendon is held on with a wad of Bondo and chewing gum.
The point is, he's not a long term solution in right for our Cubs.
The obvious question is: "Who is?"
Before you point to the minors, it seems those guys are still a few years in the offing; before you clamor for Murton, I would argue that he's never going to produce the needed power numbers to be an NL corner outfielder.
Any ideas? Free agents? Possible trades?
