Hangin in there!!

I have to say my husband, myself and 2 girls are Cubs fan. Went to Spring Training, Matt Murton waived to my daughters and they were thrilled. Well, at this point after the last few days, my husband can hardly watch a game or listen to Ron and Pat, my oldest daughter graduating today is rethinking her Cubs tattoo and I am taking flack every day at work about the Cubs, but...our 10 year old daughter didn't miss a beat yesterday watching the game. She sat there and took in every moment..with a smile on her face..why??? Well, she won the Walgreens Celebrity Batkid contest and is attending a game in August and gets to meet all the players and go on Wrigley field, and she can't wait.  I said to her, are you sure you still want to do this, HECK YA..was her reply.  Have a little faith!!!!

Congratulations!
Celeb Bat Kid is a big deal. Maybe we all need to step back and enjoy this Cubs passion and not get so bent out of shape when things go wrong. Wait.....did I really type that? I have every right to be bent out of shape and I am! I'm like your husbacn, it's hard to watch.

Congratulations to
your daughter. I admire her for being a super fan. I hope she has a fun day in Aug.
According to BlueMike if you don't agree with his opinion you're an idiot or a moron.

FWIW...
... I met this family in Mesa in March... they're really nice people and great Cubs fans. We should all remember that as much as we want them to win, and as much as we "get bent out of shape", as mrcubsfan puts it up there -- remember always the kids and their love of the game.

She'll be doing what I always wanted to
Growing up in what is now "Whigley Ville", which in the 70's was not that great of a place. I loved the Cubs. I wanted everything Cubs. I wanted to be the bat boy forever. I still do, even now. Haveing anything to do with my Cubbies is what I wanted.

Now grow up amd married to a wife that "understands" I have a room dedicated to the Cubs. It's really is cool.

I hope she has a wonderful time. I hope you have a follow-up on how things went. I will be living vicariously (sp) through her.

6-01-2007 the Cubs begin to rise. They will never look back.
