Did anyone else see this on deadspin?

I haven't seen this posted yet, but here's a video of the Cubs' dugout after Aramis' home run a couple days ago.  If this goes on in full view, I wonder what type of stuff goes on in the clubhouse?

That's the best part about it!
That dude isn't even on the team!  i think it might have been that fan who took a run at Howry the other night.  Now we know what he really wanted to do to Howry!

Well, it's definitely not Pagan...
...he pats ARam on the back, walks past the action and goes to high five the "old man" in the white shirt. It's either Marmol ... or one of the coaches? I'm still not sure.

having been in the Army....
I can say that this is tame, so yes, what the public doesn't see is likely for their benefit.

Not saying MLB is akin to serving in the armed forces, but there are similarities and things get crass pretty quickly when with a group of guys training and competing.

this army dog appreciates your service and second
Esprit de Corps aside, he also wished sometimes he was a squid when sitting in a foxhole in Iraq.

thanks to you, too, but i never
wished to be a squid. you'd have to wear a doggie bowl on your head. imagine the humiliation! nope, i'm just a jarhead and i loved my foxhole. mmm-mmm, dirt....though home is much nicer than that bigass sandbox. safer, too.

Yeah, I hear you.
That's why I tried to clarify with sometimes... Like the first days in the "desert" with all of your rain gear on another truck freezing your arse off in a hole in the middle of an ash tray during two week of torrential downpour... but I digress.

I was privileged to be the medic to 80 mostly great men (I would have traded three or four easily) who proved their stuff in some pretty crappy situations. I wouldn't trade learning that about them or myself for anything.

i was so pissed
when i woke up and i was soaked. "desert," indeed. then by noon it was 120 degrees. wonderful place, but you're right about not trading it and if i had to do it all over, i'd do it again. if you want to shoot the shit, my e-mails uner my profile here.

Boys will be boys.
Remember what the star jocks in high school were like?  The guys in all four major pro sports are those same guys, with about ten years added to their age, and millions of dollars more in the bank account.  That's the only difference.

I'm sure.

That was hilarious.

Wasn't that Carlos Marmol?
You know, good ol' fork stabber of cubdumb lore?  My favorite comment was about that being on the espn "touch 'em all" segment.

by Jerry Mumphrey on Jul 2, 2007 9:22 AM CDT   0 recs

Someone mentioned this in the game thread...
...and I believe everyone just ignored him or her.

Was it ever clearly established who did the crotch grabbing? It kinda looks like Marmol but I'm not sure.

I'd also point out that DeRosa performed some wonderfully graceful faux sodomy just before the grab. Well, I guess this is all better than a catcher and a pitcher bitchslapping each other, no?

Here are two fan video's from the seats that captured Aramis' clutch home run last night. I always enjoy checking out Youtube the day after to see what it was like from a fans perspective after big plays.
Show Us Your BCB T-Shirt

I ran this idea by Al, and he liked it. I thought I'd be fun to get folks to upload pictures of them in their BCB t-shirt. It gives more exposure to Project 3000 and is also a fun way to share who we are.

Al noted "It would be especially cool if people who don't live in Chicago would take the photo at a recognizable location in wherever they live. If you do this, remind people that it's just for fun -- I know some are sensitive about privacy, but if anyone is willing to post a pic like this, it'd be great."

So let's see it, BCB pride!

(p.s. if you all like the idea, recommend this FanShot... it will keep the exposure up and give folks who want to participate time to upload there photo.)

(p.s.s. Order your BCB/Project 3000 t-shirt here)
