Thanks Al...and a few things about my record in the bleachers...

Thanks to Al, Mark, Mike, Phil, Sue, Jeff, Howard and Jessica for a great time in the bleachers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Star-divide

Since much has been made about the Cubs record when I sit with Al, I should explain that it is 2-5 now.  If you assume that the Cubs would have a .526 win percentage over the years I sat with Al, you would expect me to see two or fewer wins 18.3% of the time, but one or zero only 4.7% of the time.  The latter being significant at the 95% level, you would have been right to ban me if the Cubs had lost yesterday.

I am, however, good for backup catchers. I was at the game in Cincinnati where Bako had 6 RBI!

I'm 6-0 at Wrigley this year
While I have some tickets already purchased for later in the year, I'll accept donations as the pennant race tightens.  ;)

I'm 1-0...
...but I guess you stats nerds would call that a "small sample."

10-10 at Wrigley
1-0 at Miller...

This see-saw above and below .500 thing is killing me...won last Friday v. Hou...lost the one SF game Tuesday...

Fingers crossed for tomorrow...the matchup isn't favoring me though.

I got a guy on the other line about some White Walls...I'll talk to you later

My all-time Cubs record:
Wrigley Field: 3-1
6-07-01 - My first game at Wrigley - Cardinals get swept!
9-18-05 - Turned 21 the best way possible - in the Bleachers!  Cardinals lose!
5-30-07 - Ouch.  The game sucked - but I was in Bullpen Box seats!  Outstanding experience!

Turner Field:  1-0
7-21-98 - Greg Maddux vs Kerry Wood!  I was a Braves fan at the time, and only 14.

Minute Maid Park:  1-1
7-03-06 - Clemens pitched the winner.  But, Sean Marshall autographed my ticket!
8-16-06 - Ryan O'Malley's perfect day.  Went to sleep a minor leaguer, woke up in the show.  Pitched 8 shutout innings earning the win.

0-6
I am like the plague the last few years. I usually make the drive from Iowa City at least twice a year. I am rethinking another trip in August, I have a ticket during the last Brewers series, but that may be too valuable for me to bring in my bad mojo.

Ouch!
We'll have to revisit this as the series gets closer. Which game do you have a ticket for?

My All-time record..
Actually, my all-time record seeing Cubs games at Wrigley is much better than 2-5...it's just sitting with Al's group where I am a jinx!

And my record at other ballparks is almost certainly over .500.

1-2
Opening day; that game against the Cardinals when Cedeno got called out oversliding second on a walk; and K. Hill's 5-RBI day agains the Giants.

Jealous
I live in florida and only make it to about 1 series every few years though I do manage to watch about 95% of the games on TV. Anyhow, I just wanted to say how incredibly jealous I am of all of you! Go Cubs!
