Iowa Cubs
There are almost too many good performances to list in Iowa's 9-3 win over Round Rock.
Scott Moore's line since he took the All-Star break to work with Von Joshua on shortening his swing: .385/.484/1.038 (yes, that's the SLG, not the OPS), with 5 homers in 26 AB. And that was before today's triple and home run.
Ryan Dempster threw the ninth, striking out the side wrapped around a hit and a walk.
Tennessee Smokies
The AA squad lost 3-0 to the Huntsville Stars. Most alarming is that Donnie Veal didn't come out to pitch the second inning. I couldn't find a report tonight on what happened.
Tyler Colvin went 0-3, and the team only managed three hits.
Daytona Cubs
Rained out and postponed.
Peoria Chiefs
Ryno's team won a pitching duel, 1-0. Starter Robert Hernandez went six innings, and Ceda, Lampert, and Maestri finished the shutout. Darwin Barney played short, and drove in the only run in the fifth inning. Ryne Malone had three hits.
Boise Hawks
Here's the boxscore, for the game which is still underway as of this diary.
