Moving

Im moving to North Carolina on this friday from Glen Ellyn here. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I don't want to miss out on any games there, soI was wondering if anyone knows what kind of cable package and from what company i need to get to watch the cubs games. I know they have wgn there but I would like to get digital cable so i can watch all the games. If anyone can please assist me in giving me a name cable company and the package i need it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm thinking that ..
since Direct TV has the Extra Innings package there's no deal you can get through a cable company to watch all Cub games; no matter where you live (outside of Chicago). So unless your going to get Direct TV you're gonna be SOL.

BTW, I live in Greensboro, NC. Where are you moving in NC?

No, that's not right.
Cable companies got the right to carry EI after some very contentious negotiations.

I have Comcast and get EI.

Oh
my mistake. I don't have EI. Guess I should of just should of stayed quiet. :)

I'm in Durham
I have Time Warner Cable with MLB EI.  Between that and WGN you'll catch nearly all the games.

Of course, the next 4 games will be blacked out b/c we're in the Nationals blackout area.  Go figure.

Bad news
Not only do you not get a discount on Extra Innings because
the season is half over, you don't get the preseason discount
so you will pay $160 for less than 80 games. Enjoy them

Because of this
You might be better off getting the MLB.tv Premium package for $20 a month for the remainder of the season and going for EI next march.

I paid
$120! :)

And Jessica, I have something I have been meaning to send you. If I can find your E-Mail address (Al gave it to me a while back) I'll contact you.

I think
you can expect a price reduction after the AS Game. That's been the situation in past years.

Or go to a sports bar
Your lucky you are going to NC, beautiful there.

You also need to check...
who your "local" teams are.

because there will be likely more than one. You won't see any of those games regardless of package, EI or online, home or away. Plus as an added bonus, no games that are on FOX Saturday Baseball before 3pm...
