Fun Things to do on this Off Day!

Cheers to a much needed off day - I, along with a lot people here, need a break, need to recharge the Cub batteries. Not to mention, but our team needs the break more than anyone. Let's relax, have fun, and get ready for a wonderful stretch run!

So, my list of fun things to do today, not thinking of Cubbie Baseball:

  1. Read a book.
  2. Go for a walk.
  3. Have a beer with an old friend.
  4. Frisbee in the park.
  5. Bike rides are always fun.
  6. Ice cream, ice cream, ice cream!
  7. Cool off at the pool.
  8. Listen to your all time favorite album.
  9. Croquet, anyone?
  10. Just have fun!
...thanks for reading and feel free to add your own>

Croquet?
Did you actually play croquet? I haven't done that in years.

"i love croquet" -
going to the park in about forty-two minutes to have a nice match with my friends.

Should be GRAND!

Croquet is a family sport
and a cut-throat one at that. I learned mean game from my grandma and we play it often at reunions.

Otherwise it's softball, bocce and bowling for me.

Gotta get the kids to bed and enjoy a night off from baseball. AA TEN games start tomorrow night. I'll post what I find and some pics when I have the chance Wednesday.

The good old days
Making sure the stylus was new, clean the LP, after some "Gold Bud", you don't bump the turntable and listen to "Countdown to Ectasy" by the Dan, that is a album.

Ah... dusting the LP's
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_play

My dad about snapped my head off one day when I put an REO on the turntable and didn't dust it first...

OT: Baseball alive at old Tiger Stadium site
I have to admit, i didn't expect this to work, and i generally don't condone ratting somebody out, but i think Woo Woo inspires special circumstances.

He was a few rows above me and a group of maybe a hundred other University of Iowa alumni last night, and started right in with the wooing early and loud. Between innings, he was... how shall i say this... creeping around? We all know his reputation.

Within 10 minutes of making a complaint to the Cubs text line, he was gone. Might be worth trying in future instances.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality... just got a new phone (HTC EVO) and am not sure how to take screen caps yet.
