Batkid Dream Come True

Our daughter was the Batkid Wednesday night.  She is still on cloud nine.  The Cubs affiliation, Walgreens and WGN do not know how happy this made her.  I want to thank them.  She has a lifetime of photos from Ron Santo to Kerry Wood.  Even with the rain delay, she said, "It was worth it!" We were on our way back to NWI and WGN was on at 12:15 talking about what a long day people would have if they went to the game that day at 4:30. I called in and told them a long day it was.  We left Indiana at 2 p.m. and got back to Indiana at 1:30 a.m. Thursday.  All for a CUBS game...would we do it again....YES!!!  Not too many 10 year old girls would even know who Ron Santo was, but it made her day to have her photo taken with him...thank you again!!!  My husband and I are able to see the CUBS through a child's eye...what a different view!!!  A wonderful view!!!  GO CUBS!!

Great Story
The envy of this thirty-one year old man ...

I would still be a bat kid if I could.

How great!
Way to raise her right as a Cubs fan! Glad she has the ability to really appreciate the experience. This 29 yr old woman is envious as well. Nice story :-)

Absolutely Awesome......
....this is what makes for a Cubs fan for life. Congratulations to your daughter and your family. She may be the one of the things that sparks the Cubs to the World Series!
