Also Thursday, the Tigers acquired left-hander Clay Rapada from the Chicago Cubs as the player to be named later to complete the trade on August 23 in which outfielder Craig Monroe was sent to the Cubs. Rapada will be assigned to Toledo.Rapada compiled a 7-2 record, 3.58 ERA and 17 saves in 55 games with Triple A Iowa this season.
