Steve Stone in the Broadcast Booth Tonight

Starting tonight, for the next few days, Steve Stone will be filling in for Darren Jackson for the White Sox television broadcasts for the next few days.

I will be flipping back and forth between games tonight to see how Stone and Hawk work together.  It is quite a mix of styles.  It will also be nice to get some of Stone's insight during a game again.

I absolutely miss Steve Stone in the booth.  I know a lot of Cubs fans have been down on him recently, but I would always look forward to his insight to the game and his dry sense of humor. Steve Stone on a WGN broadcast was Cubs baseball to me.

Star-divide

Len and Bob have grown on me, and I do enjoy their broadcasts.  But if Brenly takes a coaching job, there is nobody I would want back in the booth more than Steve Stone.

I know Stoney didn't get along with the previous upper management.  But I know that John McDonough is a huge fan of Stone, and probably would hire him in a heartbeat if Brenly goes back to the dugout.

Hawk may not understand
Stone. But at least Stone won't parrot "Yessssss!"
If the Sox hit a dinger.

He'll be quiet, as a color man should.

Doesn't Hawk require that
of his color man?  I'm sure Stone said "yeah, I don't think so."
