ESPN Baseball Tonight Fri 11:30- Sheets update

On the show tonight, they have mentioned the fact that Sheets probably isn't going to pitch on Sunday and it is quite likely that they may pull him for the rest of the season.

If Sheets cannot pitch for the Brewers I see little chance they can gain 2 games on us in the next 8 games especially with the fact that they are playing Atlanta and SD who both are in the hunt....

You just never know
The Braves were supposed to beat the Brewers behind Hudson last night, right?

You're absolutely correct
As likely as it seems the Cubs should win this division and as much as the Brewers should fold given there own pitching situation, the games need to be played.  history has shown that it's just as easy for the Brewer's spot starters to be lights out and the Cubs 'guns' to be collectively  bad......it's kind of like good-rex/bad-Rex........I don't anticipate the Cubs rolling over, but anything is possible and to give credit where due, the Brewers are a good ballclub and I don't expect them to die.  The Cubs destiny is in there own hands....just cont to find ways to win & we don't have to worry about Milwaukee

I would fel a lot better
with a two and a half game lead Saturday night. Smoltz needs to be on top of his game and Rich Hill absolutely has to.
This is Harry Carray, goodbye from Wrigley Field and So Long Everybody.

Cubs were 1/2 down in '03 were you comfortable
then? I would feel more comfortable with an 8-G leadbut whether any of us feels comfortable or not is not relative. Enjoy the race, it is the journey that is the event, not the outcome.

There are division races throughout the NL and WC race. This is what a 162 game schedule is supposed to produce.

Club stats since June'07; 59-44, against LHP starters; 12-13, and 21-10 in one run games.
