Denver Area Cub Fans
Reading the Diaries from the Cub fans in St. Louis (it must be awful for you guys to put up with the Cardinals' crap) and in Indianapolis made me want to find out if there is a place in Denver where Cub fans hang out. I would love to watch Saturday's game with a bunch of good people dressed in blue. Is there such a place in the Denver/Boulder area?

Out here in Colorado; an Old Chicago location
I will be watching the game on the deck up at the family's mountain retreat home with a cooler and a few friends under awning if it is not too windy.

Denver Area Cub Fans
I like Ivy Walls' idea about Old Chicago. Almost sad to say though, since they clinched tonight (not sure if they'll have the game on since it's now meaningless and there will be lots of college football), let's try and get together for a playoff game instead. Is the Old Chicago at Wadsworth and about 87th (west side of the road) good enough for you (and any other Denver area Cub fans reading this)? I used to go in there to watch Bears games years back, so I'll bet they'll have a spot for Cubs fans during the playoffs.
What do you think?

Next Saturday
That'll work for me.
To all of the folks who have responded to my post about the Denver area Cub fans, do you want to join Dan and I next Saturday? If we can get enough people, I'll call a place of our choice and see if I can get the manager to agree to give us a spot in front of a TV where we can get into some serious Cub fandom!

Can't see the game today but...
I have however been boycotting Old Chicago since they refused to play last seasons final game for some friends and me. Although meaningless game it was against the Rockies and it was on WGN which they had but chose to use that channel a football game for one other patron.
What annoyed me most was the arrogant bar manager saying this bar has nothing to do with Cub baseball when there was a huge picture of Wrigley Field right behind him.
I'll go to Old Chicago though if need be...
Finally... ...Go Rockies, still a little hope for playoff action here in Denver. Cubs in town in the post season would be sweet.

Screwed for Wednesday Night
A very good friend of mine asked me to join him for the Avalanche home opener Wednesday night about a month ago, and I said yes. Who would have known that it would be the Cubs' first playoff game. Does anyone know if Thursday's game will be a day or night game? If it is at night, I'd love to meet some of you guys anywhere in metro Denver, whether it's Old Chicago or whatever.
Sorry about that. Let's go all the way!
