To Go or Not To Go

I can't make it to Friday or Saturday's games due to uncancellable commitments, however, I have tickets and arrangements made for Sunday.  I really hope it doesn't come down to it; I hope it's over tonight.  However, I have a decision to make and need a hand.

If the Cubbies have clinched already - should I head out to Cincy for Sunday?

Con - long drive if the game is meaningless
Con - let down of missing "the" moment?
Con - that's a lot of gas money

Pro - still get to see the Cubs
Pro - baseball roadtrip with my dad, which I've always wanted to do
Pro - if they've already clinched, there's still bound to be a great atmosphere, tons of Cub fans, and good times
Pro - it's better than anything else I have to do on Sunday

So, If Sunday's Game is Meaningless, Should I Make the Trip Anyway?
Don't bother. What's the point?

You gotta go!
It's the last game of the season!  I'd go if they only won 60 games and I had tickets!

If I may quote that great film...
..."Dumb and Dumber": Go, man. Just go.

The fact that it would be a baseball roadtrip with your Dad alone should, uh, clinch it.

Why would you not go?
Do you know how many people would give anything to go on a road trip to see their beloved Cubs with their Dad? Someday you'll look back on that Sunday with your Dad and smile...it's supposed to be a nice day. A day with your Dad is worth a lot more than gas. Have fun.

What?  You have no faith in Griese?  Okay, neither do I, but Griese sure is fun to say.

Dude. It's the Cubs. 2007. I rest my case ..
The Cub Nation will assemble like nothing seen since 2003. You can't miss just being in the street to catch the vibe, chant "Let's Go Cubbies", and boo Adam Dunn.

You will regret you didn't go the rest of your life. Think of the memories.

I got most of my family going to be there, from my 71 year old father to my 3 year old niece in her little cheerleader uniform. We are gonna have a ball, along with the rest of the Nation. We will show this deceitful old world what true loyalty, devotion and faith to a baseball team really is.

I can't afford to be going to this, but when the Cubs clinched in Atlanta in 03, that was only 3 hours drive south of here. I vowed never again .. never would I miss a game I could get to with that kind of importance. There's no way I couldn't be there to feel the wind blow ..

This is the year and the Cubs are real.

Get yo self to Cincy's Wrigley Field

Well, Next Year is here .. and Jack's century's gotta end some time .. GO CUBBIES!

You Guys are Doing a Good Job of Convincing
I was there for all three in Atlanta in '03, and there's nothing like that Cub fan camraderie.  That was incredible, and I would have regretted missing that.  So I'll be there Sunday.

Thanks all you persuasive people.

Go!!!
Tickets in hand; never let them go to waste. It might be a good time to get some autographs if the regulars are being rested.

Go
I'm jumping on a plane in a few hours, flying to Louisville KY, then renting a car and driving up to Cincy.  Gotta get there however you can.  Gonna hit the Saturday and Sunday games.  Should be a great weekend with a lot of Cubs fans in celebration mode.
