Trachsel predictions

Well, I've blown a whole chunk of my fantasy league 'free agent' funds to sign Steve Trachsel (dropping Sean Marshall at the same time-- so I feel a bit like Jim Hendry, minus the heart condition).

To celebrate, I will boldly (and stupidly) predict Trachsel's line tonight:

5.2 innings
6 hits
1 walk
3 strikeouts
3 earned runs

... and the Win.

Anybody else care to make a prediction?

Best laugh I've had all day!
You forgot though he will walk around the mound and rub the ball at least 40 times in between pitches.

true anecdote....
Father-n-law leaving tomorrow back to Chicago from spending their usual summer months in the mountains. He does not have MLB.tv but has satellite radio. They are having dinner with us tonight and I said do you want to stay and watch the game on the laptop with me?

He said no, not with Trachsel, heck we will be there past 10 o'clock Mtn time with him on the mound and we are getting up tomorrow at 6 AM.

We'll leave after dinner and I will listen to the game on the radio and be home before the Cubs bat.

Why
does Trachsel look so damn old?

I would guess he was 43-45 from his pics.

My prediction
7 IP
4 ER
3 K

And a loss. We're facing Brad Penny. You know what Brad Penny's alternate name is? It's Jesus.

He's so unbeatable. We aren't gonna do crap tonight. Why don't we just quit already? :-)

No No No!
you're confusing him with Jesus penny from around the block.  This guys name is actually just Brad.  I think they are third cousins or something but this is definitely not the Jesus Penny you are thinking of.

If you were talking about Will Ohman...
... you were right.

Trachsel did just fine. Too bad the rest of the team didn't.

I'd take that from him every time out.
Not a great line but certainly not the reason why the Cubs lost another completely uninspired game.

This is Steve Tracshel were talking about here and I don't expect anything more or better than what he did yesterda, because I know this is Steve Trachsel were talking about here.

by lemon20pie on Sep 5, 2007 6:35 AM CDT up reply actions

For concision's sake...
...here's Trachsel's line from last night:

6.0 (IP) 7 (H) 3 (R) 3 (ER)  1 (BB)  3 (SO) 0 (HR) 4.50 (ERA)

Carlos Marmol, you complete me.
