New names implicated in steroid scandal....

Proving without a doubt that we've all gone steroid crazy, msnbc.com is reporting a number of performing artists involved in the latest steroid scandal. I kid you not.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22649666/

My favorite line:

"Her spokeswoman denounced the report. "Mary J. Blige has never taken any performance enhancing illegal steroids, or any anti-aging steroids," spokeswoman Karynne Tencer said."

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation, Bleed Cubbie Blue, or Al Yellon, editor-in-chief. FanPost opinions are, however, valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

If I had to guess
I would bet HGH has been used by Hollywood types for a long time.

Now...
I find that comment more interesting than any other made since the Mitchell report. What makes you think that?

agreed
I've heard for some time (second or third hand but consistently) that actors are huge on HGH. Look at the latest film with bare chested dudes and compare to Sparticus.

Are the entertainers' records going to stand?

Do you honestly expect me to believe...
...that recording artist, actor and writer Curtis Jackson would engage in illicit criminal activity involving illegal drugs?

Say it ain't so.

I would suggest you learn to truly interrupt all stats before using any selective stats. -- cubswin

illicit criminal activity
I spy a redundancy here.

On the other hand...
...we pretty much know Tom Cruise hasn't taken any HGH, now don't we?

Not to name names...
But has anyone watched the new American Gladiators that's been on NBC lately?  I would be willing to put money down that some of those people use performance enhancing drugs.

Hey, c'mon now...
...Mary J. Blige said "no more drama," she didn't say "no more PEDs".

Look at the bodies
It's pretty obvious that entertainers have been doing the same thing athletes have been doing for a long time.  Those bodies just aren't normal.  Compare todays athlete/entertainer to some in the 1950's, big difference.  Entertainers have just as much incentive as athletes to do ped's and for the most part their moral fiber is even more questionable than that of the dumb jocks.  They're doing ped's without question.
I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. - Robert McCloskey
