Don't hate me for asking...

My office mate owns a house that was built in 1908.  Since she is always looking for good themes for party, her and her roommate are going to have a 100th birthday party for the house and are hoping to have lots of 1908 food and dress at the party.

Now, everyone on this site knows what happened in 1908.

I've seen t-shirts (I think sported by Sox fans) that say something like "Chicago Cubs...World Series Champs 1908"....but I cannot find these shirts on the internet or E-bay.

Does anyone know where one can find some of those shirts???

Thanks.

I.........hate you.

1908 was a great year by the way! And I don't really hate you...much.

As I've told you before, I never repeat myself.

Go buy the book....
... "Crazy '08" by Cait Murphy -- an excellent review not only of the 1908 baseball season, but of what life was like 100 years ago. Highly recommended.

If you get desperate
I have an extra. Got  it for a friend but it did not fit.
I have the "original" which just says CHICAGO CUBS
WORLD CHAMPIONS 1908
In later years they added something on the bottom like
National league Ball club or whatever. That is what my extra has on it.

Speaking of shirts or whatever you can't get. The one I always liked ( which I first saw on a bumber sticker at a Cubs Dodgers
game in LA  in 1984) says CHICAGO CUBS: IF IT TAKES FOREVER
Never even saw it on a  shirt but I would love one.

Moonlight Graham
If you are ever in Chicago, there's a store on Armitage between Halsted and Sheffield called Moonlight Graham.  It sells a lot of old Cubs, Sox and Bears stuff.  Old meaning new stuff celebrating the 45 and 08 seasons.

Shirts
On ebay I bought a couple of shirts that say on the front "Any Team Can Have A Bad Century!" and on the back it says World Series Champions 1908. If I can retrieve the link I'll post it.
