Playoff Ticket Refund- Round 2, ding ding

Anybody received a refund yet?  I emailed the Cubs on October 6 to ask when we would be refunded and they emailed me back with this

Refunds will be credited to the purchase card in the near future.

Cubs Ticket Office

Well, I still have not received a refund and it's been two weeks since that reply.  I just emailed them again tonight with this message:

Apparantly we have different ideas of what "near future" refers to as I have still not yet received a refund for my two tickets.  Can you give me a specific date that my card will be credited?  Thanks.

So I'm wondering if anyone else who bought tickets has been refunded yet... Bueller?  I'll keep you posted if/when I get an email back from the Cubs or my refund.

The Cubs.com site...

…says refunds will be issues on Oct. 17th.

One thing you learned as a Cubs fan: when you bought you ticket, you could bank on seeing the bottom of the ninth.

Specifically...

“For fans who purchased tickets online directly through Tickets.com or Cubs.com for the Division Series Home Game 3, or any League Championship Series games to be played at Wrigley Field, you will receive an automatic credit to the original credit cards used for purchasing the tickets. These credits are expected to appear on your credit card statement no later than Friday, Oct. 17. Go to the Tickets section of Cubs.com and click Postseason Tickets for more information.”

The same credits were supposed to be issued to season ticket holders who asked for them.

I haven’t received mine either, as of this morning.

Just got an email reply.
The Cubs website states that refunds should be completed by tomorrow.
Credits usually take about 2-3 days to show up on your card.

So it looks like we’ll be seeing the money tomorrow… (fingers crossed).

Well, it's the 17th...

…and no money in my account :(

The 17th isn't over yet, is it?

Plus, the email you got says it may take 2-3 days to show up on your card. Patience!

True, the 17th isn't over yet.

But usually with automatic payments/deposits, it goes in at midnight.

But what's been automatic about the Cubs?

Other than taking our money, that is?

LOL

Actually, I’ve noticed that with the automatic deposit of my paycheck, it goes in at 7:30 am. Probably different for each bank and/or credit card.

Playoff futility has been pretty automatic.

Still haven't seen anything on my card yet..

As we approach 5… I’m guess probably nothing until next week then…

C’est la vie
