I think going on the road will help this team
Less pressure, a “we’ve got nothing to lose” enviroment.

It’s not what you want, obviously, but it ain’t over. I hope you get some well deserved rest. The Cubs have had a great season and it ain’t over!

We just can't hit playoff-quality pitching
The hitting disappears against good pitchers with a good plan. And we can’t afford to play Fukudome. Johnson works for me, but Pie would be better, too..
Maybe we need to watch tape of the Phillies putting away Sabathia today. Could learn a thing or two.

I DIDN"T SAY MY MANTRA!
Ok, here goes:
The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now.
The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now
The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now.
The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now.
The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now.
Infinity.
I added the extras, and the Infinity, just in case I missed any other times when I needed to say it.
Come on guys, let’s go! We’ve been down worse than eight runs in the ninth before and come back (I’m trying to be an optimist).

Forget it
This bunch is not ready for prime time, period. Spit the bit, couldn’t handle the immense pressure. Best team in the NL, my ass. Sorry to say but they choked, too many uncharacteristic errors to call it anything else.

The magic has gone bye bye..........
that was not the team that won 97 games…..that was the team that was scared of post season……..or there really is a curse of some kind……..I don’t know but wish I knew what it felt like to feel good during a post season……

Realisticlly the Cubs have weaknesses, every team does and the damn offense has just disappeared.
I could see the D costing us a game because to me our D is poor, especially middle infield, but the poor showing by our top hitters that is extremely frustrating.
I think the unbalanced schedule can hide a weaker team, too.

If it happens then it has to start with shut down pitching and tight D.
I know I said no chance above but hey, we have another game to play, let’s try our best.

It's easier to take these losses in terms of the next day effect...
…I took ff work the day after in 2003, that was far more painful. This is very painful, but it’s more like “the posers were not that good” rather than a few outs from the WS.
