I think going on the road will help this team

Blah blah blah

They choked and will get beat on Sat. for the sweep. No heart, complete and total collapse.

Sigh

I’m sad to see Fukudome doesn’t even put up much of a fight anymore.

The biggest joke of them all!!

The Japanese Jacque Jones!!

Remember Bluto...

“Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! And it ain’t over now…”

It’s not what you want, obviously, but it ain’t over. I hope you get some well deserved rest. The Cubs have had a great season and it ain’t over!

by DrCrawdad on Oct 3, 2008 12:05 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

We just can't hit playoff-quality pitching

The hitting disappears against good pitchers with a good plan. And we can’t afford to play Fukudome. Johnson works for me, but Pie would be better, too..

Maybe we need to watch tape of the Phillies putting away Sabathia today. Could learn a thing or two.

by cubmudgeon on Oct 2, 2008 11:05 PM CDT   0 recs

Turn out the lights

The party’s over!!!!!!!!!

I want to know why this team didn’t show up for the playoffs!!!!

Sorry Al, but this FUCKING sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by PhillyCub on Oct 2, 2008 11:06 PM CDT   0 recs

Is everyone here sick to there stomachs. I don’t know but this feels a lot worse then 2003. Having great expectations for this team going into the playoffs and then they do this… Just fucking pathetic… 2003 they broke my heart this year i feel disgusted watching them…

by hokiefan0705 on Oct 2, 2008 11:15 PM CDT   0 recs

Boy.... Is it more quiet here

or at Wrigley?

I DIDN"T SAY MY MANTRA!

Ok, here goes:

The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now.

The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now

The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now.

The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now.

The Cubs need to worry about winning the game they’re playing right now.

Infinity.

I added the extras, and the Infinity, just in case I missed any other times when I needed to say it.

Come on guys, let’s go! We’ve been down worse than eight runs in the ninth before and come back (I’m trying to be an optimist).

by Snake Plisskin on Oct 2, 2008 11:17 PM CDT   0 recs

I can't imagine

how painful it must be.

should be 5...

how he didn’t get an error in the 2nd inning on the hit-&-run is rediculous….he gloves it, he gets an out at first. Bad decision by the scorer.

BELIEVE!

by cubbie08 on Oct 2, 2008 11:23 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

it would have been a tough play

only thing he could do is knock it down and keep the runner at second

off to bed…. Let’s bring it back to Chicago for game 5 and the NLCS! GO CUBS GO!

but the Cubs seriously need to get a big time bat in the middle of the lineup. A big time consistant bat.

and oh the irony of me

getting picked in the NLCS raffle. This team has surprised me again and again this year. I just dont see how they can pull wins in LA off. God I wish with all my heart they can.

It's not over until it's over....

Hiroki Kuroda will be pitch in Game 3 – Dome loves to hit against Kuroda (.300+ ave and 4 homeruns in Japan, and 2-for-3 and a RBI this year), but I don’t know he will be in the lineup on Saturday.
