Wow.

Do those people like ANYTHING?

Their comments don't even rise to the level of meaninglessness.

I feel nothing but pity for these Padres fans. 63 wins. That’s worse than the Cubs in ’06. Nuff said.

I don't even feel pity for them.

In fact, I don’t feel anything for them. Don’t even think about them. Is this post even here?

Agreed

I am in southern california right now as I type this, and I went to san diego last friday night when I believe they lost to the pirates. Let’s be honest the only reason people even go to padres games is to get a tan.

Ha, ha. Nice post. Too bad those guys don't seem to have a life.

I also note that they know about you, SmoothJazz…? :-)

I was posting there on a friendly basis

It soon turned into a hate-fest, directed toward me.

A year ago, they asked me for a Cubs analysis. That post turned into name calling. I gave up.

Even when I came back after the Colo/Pads playoff loss to post on bad coverage by TBS, with absolute objectivity and no anti-Padres commentary, or anything that could be construed as bias, I was flamed.
(I posted the identical piece here)

I gave up again. I asked to be deleted. I’ll give the blogmaster credit, he wouldn’t do it. I’m still viable there. Unlike “The Rev” over at Halos Heaven, who banned me when I defended Chicago baseball fans during the 2005 playoffs. He ousted me, and then wrote an E-Mail, cursing at me.

South Side Sox also threw me out, after I wrote a history of the Sox going back to the 60s. (This also took place in 2005) Some people liked it, from the posts I read, but that blogger threw me out.

At that time, I didn’t even know I was banned. I wrote the fellow and said what’s up here? What did I do? (I didn’t go back and post anything else, there was no need to. He said "we don’t need your input. " I never lurked, never insulted , never trolled….I just wrote a pretty good historical piece. That blogger wasn’t even alive in the time I was addressing — but, since it’s very possible I knew more about the history of the ChiSox than he did — I was dumped.

It ain’t easy telling da trooth.

It's jelousy

They said they didn’t like Cub fans taking over their ballpark. Maybe if they had enough fans to sellout their own park there would be no tickets for Cub fans to buy.

Man

I guess I knew they had a particular distaste for the Cubs and Cubs fans by the stink they raised over “oh boohoo, we can’t get Fukudome because stupid teams like the Cubs will run his price up”. As if that is our faults. Really we should be even up with them since we DID end up with Fukudome. They could look at is as a blessing at this point.

The only thing I agree with is the excessive coverage of the futility in Cubs history. If it is annoying to us to have 100 yrs, goats, cats, whatever shoved down our throats all the time, I am sure it is doubly annoying for other baseball fans. We all get it now, find something else to point out.

It has to start some place. It has to start some time. What better place than here. What better time than now. ~Rage Against the Machine

I never understood why san diego would hate us

teams in the NL Central and the White Sox sure, but the Padres? whatever.

If you ever been at Petco for a Cubs game

you will notice A LOT of Cubs fans there, whom the locals despise.

Me, I ignore them, but then I don’t live in SD like jazzman.
