NLCS lottery emails are out

Unfortunately I was not selected. Did anyone else get lucky? This is important because we WILL be in the NLCS. I predict a win tonight and then Rich Harden will win on Saturday. We'll come back home tied 2-2 and then wrap this up at home.

Lee, Fonzi and Soto will come out of their slumps tonight. Edmonds should also contribute some more offense tonight. This will give them the spark needed for at least one road win.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation, Bleed Cubbie Blue, or Al Yellon, editor-in-chief. FanPost opinions are, however, valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

I got in!

Missed out for the NLDS (but got SRO online for game 5), but got the opportunity for the NLCS. Here’s what it said —

Congratulations! You have been selected for an opportunity to purchase tickets to 2008 National League Championship Series tickets for games at Wrigley Field.

On Friday, October 3, you will receive an email with instructions and a special one-time password in order to access the ticket sales system online. Tickets go on sale at Noon CT on Friday, October 3.

All winners shall have an opportunity to purchase up to two tickets for one NLCS game. Tickets are subject to availability.

I am also lucky

Denied again.

I’m wondering if anyone outside of Illinois got selected for this round or for the NLDS.

Denied... but my father-in-law got in...

Let’s hope they release some tickets again like they did a few days after the NLDS lottery was over…

Got lucky and what a great omen for the game tonight.

by careyrd on Oct 2, 2008 4:51 PM CDT   0 recs

But that’s okay… if the Cubs can turn this thing around then congrats to all of you who did get em!

But I’m glad others are getting the chance. We lived in Orlando in 2003 and actually made it to Game 5, which was nice. (end result could’ve been nicer though)

by rgonzale on Oct 2, 2008 4:53 PM CDT   0 recs

I lose.

Maybe I can pick up some scraps off Cubs.com, as I did for the NLDS.

by Flatley on Oct 2, 2008 4:55 PM CDT   0 recs

Already on craigslist

Some jackoff is selling a password for $500. So aggravating.

the baseball gods sent me one heckuva wedding present

got married last weekend, and lo and behold, today I get an NLCS winner e-mail! They say good things come in threes, so that’s wedding, winning NLCS lottery, and number 3 would be a victory tonight!

Lou Brown: "My kinda team, Charlie, my kinda team..."

by ballhawk on Oct 2, 2008 5:21 PM CDT   0 recs

Not to get ahead of ourselves

but I’d vote for number three being a WS win!

by 100yearitch on Oct 2, 2008 5:27 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

or we can just start the cycle of threes all over again...

Twice now...

I have yet to get a winner email or a denial email for both the LDS & the LCS…. I abided by their rules and only entered one email address, and I re-registered for the LCS after not hearing squat from the LDS lottery just in case I somehow mis-typed my email (which I would’ve had to done twice for the confimation entry). Think they’re just throwing out the emails that have zip codes not even remotely close to Chicago (which I’m a part of)? What’s the most long-distance location from Chicago that someone has gotten either a winning or denial email?… just curious.

by MillsChC on Oct 2, 2008 5:37 PM CDT   0 recs

120 miles here

wife and i both denied both rounds.

Check your deleted files

My comcast account all “.com” e-mails as spam and automatically moves them out of my inbox. Both times I had to look in the deleted files as the sender is cubs.com.

Plus my zip is 22553. 14 hour drive each way and I’d have done it with a smile.

Im in baby, hopefully we get there

anyone know the process, email just says I’ll get a password, but how exactly does it work. Is there a link on the email? and what happens after you put in a password, does it route to a specific game ?

Every player should be accorded the privilege of at least one season with the Chicago Cubs. That's baseball as it should be played - in God's own sunshine. And that's really living."

Does anyone know

how quickly you get your money back IF they don’t make it to the NLCS?
