Well I'm not going to the NLCS

Got the dreaded email.

We're sorry, but you were not selected for an opportunity to purchase tickets to 2008 National League Championship Series games at Wrigley Field.

Tickets for any additional postseason games played at Wrigley Field will be available through StubHub.

Please click here for more information about postseason tickets for games at Wrigley Field.

Any lucky BCB bloggers out there?

I think it is a conspiracy with stub hub to sell only to resellers.

That so far no email for my rejection??

Oops...

The dreaded rejection is now in my inbox.

Me neither

but I’d be more than happy to be watching the Cubs in the NLCS from the comfort of home

Just got the

rejection email….guess I can only look forward to the chance at the big one…..

If nothing else some friends and I plan on going to stand outside Wrigley to enjoy the game. Anyone know if they have or will put up screens outside to watch for those of us who do not get to go to the game?

I don't even care that I lost.

I just want people to be able to use these tickets.

Keep an eye on Cubs.com after tomorrow

The Cubs released “surplus” NLDS tickets to the general public a week ago today, after people who won the drawing had an opportunity to get theirs. They were gone after just a few hours. Some pretty good seats, too – I got section 429, row 1 for NLDS game 5 (should it be necessary). They may do this again for the NLCS, but the question is when – they won’t announce it in advance.

If you get rejected for the drawing, all hope is not lost!

Where did they release this?

They were available on Cubs.com very briefly

I only knew about it because someone posted info on BCB shortly after the tix went on sale.

Right.

Keep a CLOSE eye on cubs.com for this possibility.

So, when would this be?

Friday or Saturday? I know I’ll be on the lookout…

by AeroZach on Oct 2, 2008 4:51 PM CDT up reply actions

I would guess early next week

But that’s only a guess.

Not so lucky

Should’ve known better. Won tickets to Game 1 yesterday, why on earth would I be so lucky to win again?

I got lucky!!

This is just mean

Not only did it say I lost but it said “Your ugly and your mother dresses you funny”

that was mean. True but mean and how did they know?

Stop making threads that infer we are going to the NLCS some of you people are clueless

OT: Baseball alive at old Tiger Stadium site
I have to admit, i didn't expect this to work, and i generally don't condone ratting somebody out, but i think Woo Woo inspires special circumstances.

He was a few rows above me and a group of maybe a hundred other University of Iowa alumni last night, and started right in with the wooing early and loud. Between innings, he was... how shall i say this... creeping around? We all know his reputation.

Within 10 minutes of making a complaint to the Cubs text line, he was gone. Might be worth trying in future instances.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality... just got a new phone (HTC EVO) and am not sure how to take screen caps yet.
