Philadelphia has a "curse"; who knew?
I never heard of this one before. Of course it has the obligatory goat reference that we are all sick of. Sports fans are a superstitious lot, or maybe just sportswriters.

Nonsense.
An invention of a lazy sportswriter. Don’t these people have anything better to do?
"That's my opinion and if you don't like it, well, I have others." ~ Groucho Marx
Exactly
I heard about this curse from a tour guide when I visited Philly earlier this year. I promptly told her that as a Cubs fan, I didn’t want to hear a fan of any other team complain about curses!
On a related note, the tour guide told me she lived in Boston when they broke their World Series Winless streak. In Philly does indeed win it all, maybe we could convince her to move to Chicago next year . . .
they did the same thing with the white sox
I had never heard a peep about a Sox curse untill the 2005 playoffs

i FINALLY got my blasted satellite working to watch the final WS innings ..
and could have hurled when they started talking about the William Penn stature bolted on the top of the tall building there in Philly. Good Lord, do I hate FOX’s pathetic sensationalism… they just can’t leave well enough alone.
Well, Next Year is here .. and Jack's century's gotta end some time .. GO CUBBIES!
the only Philly curse I can recall
.. is when that raven haired, ruby lipped and righteously foxy Jewish Riquena who took a shine to me twenty years ago there set me up for a little long distance romance heart break .. ayyyy, Ramona, mi querida .. mi vida .. mi ECCH ..
