If you don't care then why did you say "first"?

That’s implying that you do care.

These past 2 seasons have taught me...

that being “first” doesn’t really matter.

As I've told you before, I never repeat myself.

There's no such thing as the Easter Bunny.

Happy now?

Hey, I'm Jewish too, you know.

Could we get our own bunny? The Passover Bunny?

I've been starting to think

That the Cubs don’t want to play on Yom Kippur (Game 1 NLCS) so they’ve been doing their best to make sure they can get to shul.

Yeah, that’s it!

Well, after all, Jason Marquis wouldn't be available that day.

Oh, wait. Maybe that would be a GOOD thing.

I think we are in for a lot of Sox success tonight

This time, I welcome him.

If he’s the type that relishes a Cub loss more than a Sox win, F him.

And saying GO CHICAGO GO, GO CHICAGO GO...

I’ve never met a Sox fan such as you describe, and I certainly am not one.

I did post this about the Cubs.

I also know that most Sox fans who were not very hopeful about the Sox chances in the post-season and certainly NOT when the lot fell to Javy to be our game 1 pitcher.

Before the season ended I said of the Rays that they were licking their chops at the prospect of playing the Sox in the ALDS.

The Sox were picked by most “experts” for 4th place or worse and many here had the Sox for last place. So clearly the Sox have had a good season. They would have done better with Crede and Quentin, but I don’t know if they would have won.

I’d like the Sox to win the WS every year, but that’s not going to happen. Winning one in my lifetime alleviates the pain of this Sox post-season.

Really? Against Kazmir?

by Al on Oct 3, 2008 3:10 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I don't see it either.

Buehrle is too prone to giving up early runs and Kazmir is one of the lights out pitchers that led the Rays to this season.

Lets see if Kazmir gets past the 5th

He reminds me of Harden a lot. If Kazmir has good control then maybe the Rays win.

Hey! I think Brewers and Cubs fans have found some common ground:

The 2008 playoffs have totally sucked.

At this point I’m just hoping to avoid a sweep.

I have an unreasonable dislike of Bill Hall.

I'm old enough to remember that Ted Simmons was one of the slowest players in the game...

… by the time he came to the Brewers in the early 80’s. It was a bit of a running (ha) joke back then that he had to hit a double to make it to first.

I have an unreasonable dislike of Bill Hall.

by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Oct 3, 2008 4:46 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Oddly...

… Simmons had his career high in SB while a Brewer in 1983… four.

Other Games? Meh.

I feel like the Duke brothers at the end of “Trading Places”. I want to demand that they re-open Wrigley and play game three immediately.

On the other hand, a day off is probably not a bad thing at this point.

I second that 08...

I just want it to happen already. Either put us out of our misery or give us some hope…I can’t take another day of depressing anticipation.

Sox game has started.

Lemme check Gameday here. What the…? White Sox have the bases juiced with no outs in the first!

I'm open to a miracle.

Kazmir pitched himself into a Dempster-like jam

Thome up with one out.

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space. That day appears to be near.

so should I listen to the Angels or BoSox audio? I have no idea of if they are any good.

Wow.

If this keeps up, all four series will be 2-0, and all eight games will have been, for the most part, boring and one-sided.
