It's Deja vu all over again
I can't help but think back to last year, the last game of the year was also on a Sat. and the Cubs were down two and we all know what happened.
All year they've played great but so far just like last year they've haven't been able to produce when it really counted.
Since the beginning of the playoffs all that I kept flashing back to was last year, many people have said " but oh this is a different team"
Do you think they really are a different team and can they recover and win this game tonight?
All attitudes and responses are welcome here whether you're a Blue Mike or a Blue Kool Aid drinker, let's just try to keep the profanity at a minimum please.

same as last year only i wont be awake to see this one.what a great team we had it,s really too bad.i had visions of woody closing out the world series in my head.will this team ever learn how to win???if a great mgr like pinella cant get it done who can?we really deserved this
I don't blame Pinella , I blame the players Pinella can only do so much, the team has to respond.

It's not over until it's over.
But after saying that, let’s see if they show up to play baseball. Let’s see how competitive they really are. I’ll be watching the same way I watched all season and if this is their last game in 2008, it’s been a hell of a good ride. There’s not much we as fans can do, we aren’t on the field playing and we aren’t in the dugout managing them. It’s all about doing what they did all year long and if anyone tells you that the pressure of the last 100 years isn’t at play here, they’d be lying to you. These guys are, after all human.

Chicago 2016
I've been really down these past two day but I just gave away my ticket to game 5 to my nephew
since I’ll be out of town on business, I also sent a email to my daughter who was feeling down about the Cubs and found that I had a spark of optimism left in me, after all I’ve stuck with this team for 42 years now’s not the time to bail….GO CUBS!

i was thinking the same thing
that this postseason felt exactly the same as last yr but then i came to one conclusion to give me a lilttle hope….in both seasons we will have a guy named rich on the mound for game 3..but this yr his last name is not hill its harden…so lets see what happens
I like our chances with Harden far more than Hill.
I was reading in the paper this morning that Lou is apparently pulling out all of the stops and has Dempster ready for middle relief today. The decision is the right one, in terms of use of the starters in the playoffs, but boy I hope Dempster has the kinks worked out because he was lucky it wasn’t 8-0 by the third inning.
Middle relief shouldn’t be a concern in general because 2 of the 5 starters should be able to provide some of those innings. Obviously Z & harden are not going to provide that, so it goes to Dempster & Marquis.
Good thing Lou know he has to stop at nothing to win this game, I don't care if they have to bring back Ernie Friggin Banks they have to figure out a way to win this one!

I still get a chuckle whenever I see that commercial, God bless Yogi

Interesting perspective from Dave Kaplan's blog
Sounds to me like many of the L.A. faithfull are a little worried about the Cubs bouncing back.
