97 Win's and we don't deserve to be in the playoffs

What is more criminal;  the salaries of these players or that of the CEO's that failed in corporate America this past year?

I am sorry...I could not be more disappointed in these guys.  When I can step up to the plate and provide the same output that Soriano and Ramirez do, there is a huge problem.  The way our team has rolled over is pathetic.  I have loved them for 41 years...can I take it anymore?  This is ridiculous.

Lou doesn't (or didn't)

have to play them (Soriano and Ramirez). He could have put DeRosa at 3rd, Johnson in LF, and Pie or Fukudome in RF. With the output of these two (Soriano and Ramirez), Johnson and Pie in might be an upgrade. That is sad.

The real problem is Lou sitting the starters after they clinched the division. He should have played the guys and tried to knock the Brewers out of the playoffs so the Cubs could have played the Mets.

Regardless of what the Cubs do, at least the Blackhawks start soon. I’m not sure how many of you are into hockey. The Hawks are going to be fun to watch.

The Cubs would have lost to the Mets too!

We played so badly we couldn’t have beat the Boise Hawks.

I said the same thing a couple days ago

Lou made a critical error not spanking the brewers out so we played the Mets. Actually, I am not so sure this team would beat the Pirates right now. PATHETIC!

The problem is the starters rested...HA!

I laughed so hard when I read that I almost pissed myself. No, the problem with these clowns is they fold under pressure! Soriano sucks. Most overrated player I’ve ever seen. Beats up back of the rotation guys, but against good pitchers with a scouting report, he’s a guess hack. Same with Ramirez- no guts, they vanish in the clutch. This team pisses me off.
I guess I’m not a true fan now, right guys? Stick it. God, I’m so pissed off at this team.

No wonder

No wonder players don’t feel any connection to the fans with people like you.

Soriano and Ramirez both came through many times for us. They wouldn’t have won 97 games if not.

Thngs of worth are worth fighting for regardless of the odds.

Blah blah blah

Regular season was great. No argument there.

Connection my ass. I connect with guys that fulfill their potential and come through in the clutch. The playoffs are when you need these MULTI-MILLIONAIRES to come through. And they are playing with OUR MONEY. What a joke.

I’m not a Cubs apologist, and they shit the bed this time. Plain and simple. Make some changes or I may take a year or two off from this team. This is completely fucking ridiculous, much like your post.

2 for 25

Aramis and Soriano. FU#% the Cubs! Unbelievable! If this happened once, it would be one thing, but two years in a row? For the money these guys make…Forget it! Start OVER!

Why do you care how much money these guys make

Are you paying them? Look I said this in the game thread and Ill say it until im blue in the face.

I LOVE THIS TEAM, I BELIEVE IN THIS TEAM and IM NOT going to let some johnny come lately come in here and say….. Blow up this team blah blah blah blah!!111111

If you cant handle this, there are 29 other bandwagons you can jump on.

I am sick and tired of people boohooing about they make too much money, they do this, blah blah blah… This is the Chicago Cubs we are talking about, NOT the Yankees… While I want my team to win a World Series just as much as the next guy, Im not going to boohoo and sulk about this. Im going to suck it up, take the ass whoopin like a man and see what 09 gives us, Because I tell you this much, This team is going to win the World Series on day…..AND ILL BE DAMNED if people like you will outshine the support I have given this team and will always give this team.

Galvin, how old are you??

your post is ridiculous. First of all, “johnny come lately”? I have been a Cub fan for 41 years (that’s how old I am). My grandfather, 87 years. We almost lost him in March. I think in some ways, he pulled out of it in hopes that this would be his year. i love this team, as does my grandfather. These guys make too much to be that pathetic in post season play. This team rolled over. Watch, as another “expansion team” of rookies rolls on…Their name: Tampa Ray’s. We on the other hand take another one on the chin. Wait till next year Galvan.

Wrong headed.

If you are happy with mediocrity, that’s all you’ll ever get. The organization needs to hear that the status quo is failing, or they’ll keep blowing sunshine up your ass and trotting fukudome into left field.

I'm with you...

I don’t want to be a Cubs fan anymore, but I can’t help it. Every year when people get excited, all of the comradery. I get sucked in year after year.
