Sometimes you just gotta laugh

Reading espn.com I found this funny page about the Cubs.

I know we're all tired of the curse crap, and realize it had nothing to do with the total embarrassment that was the 2008 playoffs.

However, if we don't laugh at some of this stuff, I think we'll either go completely insane or just jump off the nearest bridge.

I know it's cliche, but I believe that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Well, it's time to beef up a little more!!!

If you're not ready to laugh yet, I apologize for pointing this page out.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, editor-in-chief (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

I laughed a little while ago

I was able to laugh today and ask anyone who knows me when I’m able to laugh I’m okay.

The joke was “Did you hear Britney Spears is going to write a Cubs song?”

Oops They Blew it Again.

I heard this one earlier and got a kick out of it

What does a mama bear on birth control and the World Series have in common?

NO CUBS!!!!

I thought it was pretty funny at the time.

I'm so sick of hearing about goats.

Enough.

Hey Al

Glad you’re here. While I’ve got the chance, I just wanted to personally thank you for all your hard work this year. For a guy living on the west coast, you made me feel like I was actually at the ballpark many times.

I don’t doubt you’re taking this ending harder than most, and fair enough. When will you personally start looking ahead to 2009 (ie. re-signings, free agents, etc.)?

Thanks for your kind words.

Honestly — it’s only three days later. I haven’t even finished processing this loss completely, and the playoffs are still in high gear — thus no deals are going to be made now.

I won’t even think about next year till after the World Series is over.

I'm trying not to think about it...

…but all these fanposts keep luring me in.

So this is how it ends.

Me too

Me too. I’m supposed to be taking over a completely non sports internet group this week and I keep coming back. It’s sort of like a magnet.

Glad a bunch of you liked it

I was worried that the wounds might still be a little too fresh for people. And for some, I’m sure, it is too early.

Well I found THIS funny

No goats and maybe it was already posted but hey those Astros still can’t get a break.

LOL, that's hilarious.

Backe can’t do a damn thing right. I also love that one of the other people arrested was “a FEMA coordinator.”

So this is how it ends.
