Baseball Makes Its Olympic Pitch Again

Folks from the International Baseball Federation made their pitch to the IOC today to restore baseball and softball to the Olympics for 2016. Here appears to be the key:

[IBF President Harvey] Schiller said the baseball delegation was asked if it could deliver major league players to a 16-team Olympic tournament in August 2016.

And so, what say you? Should MLB send major leaguers to Olympic teams in order to get baseball back in the Games? They'd probably have to suspend the season for a couple of weeks, like the NHL did a number of years ago, in order to accomplish this. Discuss.
