Wow, I'm not sure how to interpret that quote.

Dempster’s agent Craig Landis says:

I spoke to the Cubs here. They’re aware that, as of now, there’s very little possibility he’s going to sign soon with the Cubs. That’s what we’re planning as of now.

Does that mean that Dempster is merely going to wait while he tests the free agent waters? Or does that mean he’s drifting away from the Cubs?

There’s also an amusing typo in this post:

Just met Craig Landis, the representative for free-agent tarting pitchers Ryan Dempster and Jon Garland.

Did he just call Dempster and Garland “tarts”? What is he, British?
