Cubs, White Sox To Play Two Split-Squad Spring Games In Las Vegas

There were rumors flying of the Cubs playing again in Vegas even after the official spring schedule was released a couple of weeks ago. Turns out to be true:

The clubs will play on Wednesday, March 4 at 7:05 p.m. PT and Thursday, March 5 at 1:05 p.m. PT at Cashman Field, home of the Las Vegas 51s. The Cubs and White Sox will both feature split squads.

As a Cub fan in LA, this could be my chance to see the Cubs...hooray!!

though the starters won’t be getting much playing time in early March. :-(

… considering some of them will be off with WBC teams at that time anyway.

why during the week?

As someone who likes spending a few days in Las Vegas I’d consider going out to see the two games. Them being on Wednesday and Thursday makes that impossible.

ROOMS IN VEGAS GET CHEAPER .......

While rooms in Chicago keep going up and up …whats with that ??? Even the hotels near Midway have went alot since last March’s trip to Mesa …..
