Jimmie Hall and Cubs current minor league status.

Hall only had 56 at bats in parts of 2 seasons for the Cubs. He had 78 home runs in his 1st three season as a Twins player and then was hit in the head and his numbers took a dive into his 4th season.
After losing , Veal in the Rule 5 draft, we only have two players that have been ranked or presently ranked in publications top 20’s that came from the 2003, 04 and 2005 draft. (Hoffpauir and Atkins) Whats even more amazing is that we lost our 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounders in 2006 and our 2nd rounder in 2007. Lucky for us we have added two picks with a sandwich pick in 2007 (Donaldson) and Flaherty our sandwich pick in (2008). Donaldson was the main player involved in the deal with the A’s and Harden, without Donaldson, according to A’s sources, the deal would have not been made. Hopefully some of our lower A ball players come forward and become the prospects that they’re being projected to be.

I just now found out the cartoon....

… was not visible on some computers. It should be, now.

Hizzoner Da Mare...

For most of my life, Daley the Elder was the only mayor I knew.

“Da policeman is not dere to create disorder, da policeman is dere to preserve disorder!”

What a quote-machine. Glad I re-read “Boss” recently…
