It's...
…in Spanish. Hooray for Google Translate!
The Dominican Manny RamÃrez is on the verge of signing a contract for three years and $ 75 million with the New York Yankees, as entrusted to Impactodeportivo.com.do this Sunday.
Negotiations are well advanced and close on Monday and Tuesday would be made the official announcement.
Manny wanted to follow the Dodgers, but Los Angeles did not want to loose the ticket.
Ramirez, who batted .332 with 37 home runs and 121 towed between Boston and the Dodgers, will be an attraction in New York.
Close enough to get the gist, anyway. Though it doesn’t sound final yet.
Here’s a link to the actual rotoworld article about the above article. They don’t sound convinced yet, either.

I'm not convinced, either.
Here’s what the Yankees website says:
The New York Daily News reported Sunday that Ramirez has told friends that he is confident the Yankees will offer him a contract of at least three years.
Here’s the NY Daily News article.
Draw your own conclusions. Mine: this is far from a done deal.

I'm pretty sure they just took the "offer" story
and ran with it. The rest is just lost in translation, so they say.

Manny for 3 years is a great value
Manny might come with baggage, but all I know is he is one of the greatest run producers I have ever seen play the game. Plus his performance during crunch time and in the playoffs is the stuff of legends.
Manny hitting behind Johnny Damon, Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriquez in the clean-up spot would be outrageous. Three future first ballot Hall of Famers to go along with Damon. And Damon and Jeter still have a lot more in the tank then they get credit for.

I think he'll be a Yankee
I’d like to see him out of the NL.
