Cubs-Yankees Exhibition Game at 1923 prices
Thought the New York area members might appreciate this Yankees offer 1923 Prices for exhibition games
NEW YORK -- The exterior of the new Yankee Stadium rising across 161st Street was designed to incorporate many of the aspects that made the original 1923 version so distinctive, showcasing the tall vaulted arches and the Gate 4 home-plate entrance.
For its first two games, visitors walking into the new Yankee Stadium will also be invited to pay homage to the building's predecessor in another special way -- attending a ballgame by trading a few coins for a ticket.
The Yankees announced Tuesday plans to roll back ticket prices to 1923 in a "Turn Back the Clock" promotion. Fans will be able to attend the April 3 and 4 exhibitions against the Chicago Cubs at the same prices it would have cost to be present for the Stadium's first game.
Full-season ticket licensees will receive complimentary tickets for the first exhibition games. Partial-plan holders will receive the first opportunity to purchase tickets thereafter, via a pre-sale (restrictions apply).
Looks like your chances may be low but you can take four people to the game for a dollar, too bad beer was prohibited in '23 or that could be discounted too

Very, very cool.
Scalpers are going to make a killing off of these games though!

Depends on how much people really want to go.
The fact that season ticket holders are getting most of these for free (or a presale) means there will be very few tickets for general sale, as the Yankees have quite a few season ticket holders.

Seriously, are the Yankees made out of money?
They’re signing big-name FAs left and right and essentially giving away tickets to games. Isn’t this how Rome fell?
Yes, yes ... winter is indeed a pond upon which all of us must skate, braving frostbite and runny noses in the hopes that our cars will start and we shan't embarass ourselves slipping on a patch of black ice. Spring is more a quagmire of cold mud and slush, and fall is a pile of fallen leaves that may or may not hide a pile of doggy doo-doo. But summer, ah summer is an oasis of endless green that disappears all too quickly beneath our feet as we rush through its warm, glorious bliss.

Rome didnt have its own TV network
NY is a global brand, you can go to many, many countries and find people wearing Yankees hats; they may not know exactly what it means, but its cash in Hank and Hals pockets

This is how most exhibition games should be
Maybe not this low, but paying full price for exhibition games in any sport…gimme a break. I like this a lot. Too bad I can’t go because if I could afford to go, I’d be going to the Winter Classic next week.

I had been thinking about going....
….and hey, if I can actually get tickets for that price, I think I’m there! I totally agree with TkGoUWGB – exhibition games oughta be low-budget items.
