Great Sutcliffe article brings up topic for Fanpost

Guys there's a great article about Rick Sutcliffe and his recovery from cancer and about what's up with him.

http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=260428

I can't believe Shelby is old enough to get married and finish medical school.  I remember when Sutcliffe was here and she was a tiny little thing at the charity events.

I love Sutcliffe.  He, Sandberg and Dawson are my 3 all time favorite former Cubs.  Kerry doesn't even come close (or maybe my heart hasn't accepted his non Cubness yet)

So what is the topic it brought to mind pray tell you ask?

Starting in 1984 the Cubs have made 6 trips to the postseason.

Rank in order your favorite seasons

Mine

1984 16 years old what a summer.  First win in 39 years.  Sandberg, Sutcliffe.  Being in Pittsburgh with 4000 other crazies on 9/24.

1989 the youth of that team all the crazy wins.  The trip to Montreal. Zimmer ball.

1998  Sosa and Wood says it all.

2003  the shooting star of Mark Prior.  Winning a playoff series,

2007 the amazing story of being 9 under 500 and almost 10 out of first and coming back to win the division,

2008 the ending stll leaves a bad taste.

And what is your favorite season where the Cubs didn't make the playoffs.

Being the huge fan of the Hawk I have to say despite last place 1987 will always have a special place in my heart.
