"I played until I was about 17, just before I signed a contract with the Phillies," Jenkins said Monday. "That was the fun part, playing hockey and going to arenas. It should be a lot of fun to be a part of the [Winter Classic]."

Think he'll put on skates?

It'd be cool to see him on skates.

Saw him last spring in Mesa. He’s still in good shape at age 65.

OT

Al, any idea when you will put up a request forum for next seasons tickets, I’m about ready to start making plans for a trip up from NC

Well...

… I usually wait till after the first day of ticket sales, late February… that way, maybe you can get tix yourself.

If you (or anyone else) think I need to do this earlier, let me know.

I’ll post one for spring training about the beginning of February, since the first ST game is 2/25.

Well right now the dates are just percolating around in the head

So it’s not a gotta know now type of thought, but it might be nice to be able to throw out ideas early in the year.

plus

I’d rather have a chance to hang out at a game with someone from this board than to just have a random chance on who I sit with. I’ll probably be flying solo

The thing is...

… people with tix for sale/extras may not know what they have available till after first-day-of-sale on Feb 20.
