Marquis could be headed to the Rockies

The Rockies would send us back right-handed reliever Luis Vizcaino.  Vizcaino is 34 and is set to earn $3.5 million in 2009.  In 2008, he posted a 5.28 ERA in 46 innings with a 1.46 WHIP.  Here's the link.

http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2008/12/marquis-for-viz.html

Since Vizcaino is going to earn 3.5 million, does this mean we will be covering anymore of Marquis's salary?  If not, I definitely like it.  More bullpen depth is a good thing...tho I wonder what is the plan for the 5th starter spot.

Identical post below.

Let’s keep this to one post per topic, please.

LOL

This is your first comment?

Yes, yes ... winter is indeed a pond upon which all of us must skate, braving frostbite and runny noses in the hopes that our cars will start and we shan't embarass ourselves slipping on a patch of black ice. Spring is more a quagmire of cold mud and slush, and fall is a pile of fallen leaves that may or may not hide a pile of doggy doo-doo. But summer, ah summer is an oasis of endless green that disappears all too quickly beneath our feet as we rush through its warm, glorious bliss.

Oh, right, sorry.

I misread your profile. In any case, like cubsluver22 said, you might want to take back the “chill out” part. Al’s kind of a big deal around here – and he happens to be right.

i realize, i come to the site 10 times a day, especially on slow days.

if people really think retracting it is that big of a deal, i would be happy to…not sure if i know how to however.

You should tell Al you're sorry!

Of all the people on here that should NOT be told to chill out, it’s him!!

So does every high school and college pep band.

I’ve played on 3 different specimens of that Peavey combo unit and none of them were particularly impressive. Of course, they were pep band amps….

Yeah, but does your amp have a 3.25 career ERA...

…and did it win a Cy Young in 2007? Yeah, didn’t think so.

No...

but it does have tubes. Tubes make everything better.

(In England they call tubes “valves” to distinguish them from the internet. And trains. They call transistors “transistors,” but call power cords “mains leads.” They also call soccer “football.” So we know they can’t entirely be trusted.)

OT: Baseball alive at old Tiger Stadium site
I have to admit, i didn't expect this to work, and i generally don't condone ratting somebody out, but i think Woo Woo inspires special circumstances.

He was a few rows above me and a group of maybe a hundred other University of Iowa alumni last night, and started right in with the wooing early and loud. Between innings, he was... how shall i say this... creeping around? We all know his reputation.

Within 10 minutes of making a complaint to the Cubs text line, he was gone. Might be worth trying in future instances.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality... just got a new phone (HTC EVO) and am not sure how to take screen caps yet.
