Winter Classic Tomorrow!
So who's going to the once-in-a-lifetime game at the old North side ball yard tomorrow January 1st?
As this is a baseball site I know I may over-stepping my bounds a bit since hockey was always my first sport. I can't explain how charged up I am about a Blackhawks game in recent memory given their "issues" the last 10-15 years. Even with the loss last night, this team has come a long way in a short time. And to see them in Wrigley is simply amazing. Only thing that could have topped this personally is if the game were against the Canadiens.
I understand there will be all sorts of activities before the game at Clark and Waveland between 9-12 and then the F18/A flyover during pre-game and various fun things through out the day.
I ended up changing my seat location due to a last-minute change in plans and will now be in section 121 instead of 138.
Do other BCB'ers want to meet up anywhere and would anyone care to do a picture sharing thing afterwards? I know I'm going to try to shoot as many pics as possible and have my DSLR ready to go.

I'll be there.
I intend to open a game thread here tomorrow morning. Even though it’s not baseball, it is at Wrigley Field and I know there are a lot of Blackhawk fans here… and hope you’ll gather here to discuss.

At least for a short while if you're doing a customary early-AM posting.
I’m bolting from the house by about 8AM. I have an hour’s-ish drive and want to get there soon enough to soak in the atmosphere.

not trying to contradict AL
but there is a solid Blackhawks blog on SBNation called Second City Hockey. I’d strongly encourage you to wander over there and check it out.

Absolutely.
SCH is a good place to talk hockey — I’ll definitely be linking to them in my game thread.

Enjoy the Classic BH24!
While I am not a Blackhawk fan myself, I have been rooting for them this season and will definitely be pulling for them against the Wings tomorrow. They are a fun young team to watch and I think it is good for hockey to have the ’Hawks back near the top.
Just passing the time until spring.

What's the weather forecast for tomorrow?

Almost ideal conditions.
New Year’s Day: A 20 percent chance of snow after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. Breezy, with a south southwest wind between 15 and 20 mph.
The clouds will help visibility and eliminate shadows — the lights will be on throughout. If NBC gets a little light snow, their TV show will be just about perfect.
Go Hawks!
