While you are deciding how to project Jason Marquis' 2008 season in the thread below this one, you can watch him make his first spring start against the Angels on CSN Chicago. Jered Weaver (you know, the Weaver brother with actual talent) gets the start for the Angels. The game is also available at the MLB.com Mediacenter; according to posts from BCB reader Josh (that you may have missed in another thread), the Angels' radio broadcasts are being made available free during spring training, so even if you don't have access to CSN, you should still be able to hear the game online.
Yesterday, Closer Candidate #1 (Carlos Marmol) threw a scoreless inning, his first of the spring. Today, we should see Candidates #2 and #3 throw for the first time. That article also notes that Bob Brenly will not be broadcasting today due to a "family commitment"; Dan Plesac will sub for Bob.
It's a "Day Off" kind of day -- nearly all the regulars will stay home. Incidentally, watch for MLB to say something to the Cubs about this; visiting teams are supposed to take four regulars to road games. The Mets have already violated this rule this year and might get fined for it.
Finally, there's a new potential bidder for the Cubs (the headline says "two" bidders, but the article only refers to one), and this one is minority-owned.
