GO CUBS!! 2008

Hello Cub fans!

See ya all at Wrigley in 2008! I'll be in the #9 Hobbs Cubbie pinstripes.

Every year I'm more and more excited for the season to start. This year more than ever. Who knows how long I'll live here and be able to go to as many Cub games as I want. The past few years I've been spoiled. If I feel like going to a game I go. It wasn't always this way. Living 30 miles from Wrigley I took for granted the opportunity. Then I thought to myself, when I was a kid growing up in Oklahoma and South Carolina I always said "If I move to Chicago I'll go to EVERY Cub game possible." Then I moved here and found myself slackin big time. So last year I burned it in my brain... if I can go to the game I will. If I ever move I'd never forgive myself for not going to every game possible. Yea, it can get expensive. But what price do you put on trips to Wrigley?

This year will be no different. I think I hit 18 games last year (not counting the games at Miller Park and Cincinnati). Win or lose I had a blast. I expect the same fun times this year.

I can't imagine that he didn't know

it was Roy Hobbs. I have to say those sewn together two team jerseys do in fact, SUCK.

I would never! Here's the deal. I wanted a Sandberg Jersey but MLB.com wont allow me to get SANDBERG put on the back. I had major trouble finding anyone who carried a size 60 Sandberg jersey. I really didnt feel like spending$240 on a current player that could be traded at any time so I went with Hobbs. My favorite movie. Figured it had some class to it. Guess not though. I reasoned he thought it was actually my name cuz he said "only thing worse than a person with their own name..."

Next year (or maybe in September this year if he gets a callup)

you need to find a buddy who'll get a Colvin jersey. Then the two of you need to hang out in the bleachers and turn your backs to the cameras for a great photo opp...

...Colvin & Hobbs

ok ok that was kinda funny ahah

I really want a Murton jersey but I know how everyone around here feels about him.

Alright. Jduging from this thread I need to ditch the Hobbs jersey. I'll take everyones advice. Should I put up a poll on what jersey I should get to replace it?

I think the Hobbs thing would have been cooler

if you had a Knights jersey. I've seen much worse if it's any help to ya.

Damn Nutrisystem...I'm freakin dyin for some Italian beef!

Thanks.

I think I'll just tough it out. It might me a loser but at least I'm a Cubs fan loser.

It might MAKE me a loser I meant.

A comment edit would be cool on here. I'm a typing disaster.

And come to think of it...

Colvin and I are both Clemson grads so this might be ligit to pull off. A new jersey couldnt hurt. Help pay the 1st round draft pick money Samardjia got instead of Colvin.
