No BCB love for PDA's?
Al,
Long time BCB member, but with the new site I changed my screen name. Almost every morning during my time on L train riding to the loop, I go to bleedcubbieblue.com via my Motorola Q pda.
The old site had no problem loading on my phone and I could even easily open any pictures, graphics, links etc. The new format is wrecking havoc on my PDA. The page is gigantic (takes forever to scroll through), slow to load, fuzzy pictures and the graphics mostly disabled.
Most importantly.....the column of "fanposts" are not included. I can read Al's posts, but really nothing else.
I am wondering if there are going to be any changes to accomodate those who are addicted to BCB via their cell phones? Or, does anyone else in this community know of any other way to make the site look better on my phone? Like I said the old site format was identical to what I see on my computer at work in home.
Either way, I will always read the site on my other computers but the PDA is a nice added place to catch up on the new posts. Again, thanks for the great site Al...it is always a "must read" every morning.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, editor-in-chief (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

great question..
..as someone who travels quite a bit, I was hoping the 2.0 migration included a PDA friendly format...

Try installing the latest version
of the Opera Mini browser. I installed version 4.0 recently and it 'sreally good. The new BCB works just fine, so far (at least for reading. Dunno if I'd bother posting using a phone).

good suggestion
Opera Mini works best with a touchscreen but it should be a better solution than using IE.

I don't have a touchscreen
but the little joystick on my Sony Ericsson phone helps navigate around the page, and the new version of Mini lets you select and zoom in on any area of the page, or any link, etc.

In the migration thread
The web techs said they wanted to make a mobile version, and it should be coming eventually. I hope.

iPhone Works Good
It displays 100% properly on the iPhone, just have to zoom in to read the articles. But that's to be expected for non-optimized sites.

it's high on our list
We'll definitely be tackling a mobile version in the future, once we've rolled out the new platform to all the existing sites and optimized the existing full version of the site. Thanks everyone for your patience.
The site looks good as-is on the iPhone, best I can tell, but we may try to offer a slimmed down iPhone-on-the-go version as well as a mobile version for other phones and PDAs.
I'd also be curious to know what mobile devices people are commonly using.
I'm one of the guys who built the new SB Nation. Please don't hesitate to give us feedback.

Moto Q
I had this phone, and was able to view the site on the Q and use the blog features.
What you need to do is make sure you scroll down further on the page when it loads up. That will enable you to view the forum and so forth.
