The official press release is...

... here.

Interesting about Cotts. I know there's interest in him. He could still be traded.

I wish you had named this diary...

..."Hill sent to minors." I really do.

LMAO.

That would have set off a firestorm, all right.

Oooh, yes. A golden opportunity...missed.

Ladies and gentlemen, your 2008 Chicago Cubs starting outfield: Soriano-Pie-Fukudome. Let it be.

Say for the heck of it

Rich Hill gets bumped. Who would take his place?

I'm drunk......and it shows.....

The closer we get to Opening Day...

the more I think Lou is going to have Walrond in the bullpen come 3-31-08

As I've told you before, I never repeat myself.

Letterman's Top 10

Reminds me of one of Dave's Top 10 lists many years ago. The topic was Top 10 rejected car names. I don't remember where it placed, but somewhere on the list was: Yugo Screwyerself

I won't do that, but...

... Walrond isn't on the 40-man roster. Who gets bumped for him?

Cotts maybe?

I don't know if I really believe he'll break camp with the team, but I know I really didn't expect him to remain in camp this long. Just seems strange that he's hung on so far. When are the next round of cuts expected? Anyone know?

As I've told you before, I never repeat myself.

Why would Walrond

make the cut as the second lefty and not Pigniatello?

Walrond wouldn't.

He's just in camp to provide an extra body. They may be keeping him around to offer him a minor league coaching slot. He will NOT make the team.

well, it's not as good as

giving Cotts his outright release, but at least we won't have to sit, nervously staring at GameDay while he's "pitching", waiting for the guillotine blade to fall.
