Cubs players on your fantasy roster

I kind of neglected my bullpen this year, but everyone in my league overvalued closers so I didn't bother until the 13th round.

11. (181) Geovany Soto C
13. (217) Kerry Wood RP

Those are the only two that I have as well!

my cubs

3. (32) Aramis Ramirez
4. (49) Carlos Zambrano
8. (72) Geovany Soto
10. (92) Kosuke Fukudome
13. (129) Carlos Marmol
14. (132) Ted Lilly
16. (152) Kerry Wood
21. (209) Felix Pie

Decided to try my luck with Pie with my last pick but I already have Magglio, Carlos Lee, Nick Markakis and Josh Hamilton (plus Kosuke) ready for outfield duty.

That is a lot of Cubs!

I tried to shy away from getting any Cubs because it never works for me, but ended up with Wood, Lilly, Pie and DeRosa anyway.

Me too...

...plus there's something to be said about betting with your head versus betting with your heart.

For example, I live a few blocks from the campus of Drake University and picked them in the Final Four in my office pool. Whoops.

Mine

Wood, Soto, Hill, Theriot w/ my last pick, the market for SS was pretty barren, and at least on ESPN he is a 2B as well, which helps since I have Phillips and no one else.

In an NL Only league I have...

Soto
ARam
Zambrano

In addition to the Big Moose I have Peavy, Oswalt, Chris Young and Lincecum. Now that's a rotation!

this is why

this is why i dont do fantasy leagues..i end up having all of the cubs on my team..like trading jeter for theriot but in all honesty thats what makes me loose

by dariot2 on Mar 24, 2008 2:12 PM CDT reply actions

...

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but trading for Cubs isn't what is making you "loose".

by bikemonkey on Mar 24, 2008 2:20 PM CDT up reply actions

NONE!

Unfortunately. I had Fuku queded up in the 15th and Wood in the 20th but missed out by one pick.

I thought the guy behind me was a cubbie cause he also picked Soto and Pie. He's not though, wierd.

With the exception of Hill

I have no Cubs in my rotation, but I'm happy about it
Verlander, Harang, Lincecum, Hill, Bannister.
The league I was in stretched out OF a lot so no one has a terribly strong one. That means I'm actually happy about one of Pie, Burrell and Victorino.

I have

Soto, Zambrano and Howry. We drafted a couple weeks ago and I was short on saves so I hedged and took Howry thinking he might end up as the closer. Anyone want to make me an offer for him?

Alls I got

is A-Ram, Soto, and Marmol. It's at least a step up from last year when I didn't have anyone!

I think my favorite uncle was Uncle Caveman. We called him that because he lived in a cave and would eat one of us. We then realized he was a bear.

My ESPN Cubbies are...

.... Fukudome, Big Z, Woody, Soto and Lilly. Drafted Lieber late in the draft as a "starter".. Soon to be put on waivers!
