Ready For The Season Yet?
I don't think anyone posted these yet, and I just got mine today when I got home from Arizona... so here are some of the season tickets and the pictures on them (way better than last year's).
There's one more ticket photo that I couldn't get into the scanner -- it's kind of a determined-face Lou Piniella photo.
I'm ready. Are you?

looks too small to be Z but it's for sure a Z move to jump like that. Dont know why they'd have A-Ram Soriano and Lee without having Z

It's Z alright.
By the by, thought the pic of Sori was Mr. Cub himself at first.

I guess it's so when you just peel them out of the book as you use them the games you'll use first are on the right since they are stapled along the left-hand side.
The tickets are Jewish

I find it appropriate that...

I hope we get what we pay for this year.

I am READY for this season to start. But I am MORE ready for some nice weather here in Chicago. Going to a game next week is going to be a blast. But GOOD GOD, MAN, can we please get a break from this crap?!?!?!

I guess...
I can't complain about 45-50 and sunny next weekend. It's always hard around this time of year, because you KNOW how good life can be on a 60-70 degree day at the ballpark.
When they're on the road, of course.

I have a question
I bought a bunch of games when they went on sale and for 2 of the games i thought it would be a good idea to have the tickets mailed to me. And I have yet to receive them. I dont compeletly trust my mail person. So does any one have any idea on when i would be getting the tickets? Or know how I would go about finding that information?

I dont think they have all games printed so you should get them a week or so before the game day.

unless you want the actual tickets as a memento, IMHO having them emailed to you and printing them out is by far the most reliable way to get your tickets.

Personally...
... if I were buying single game tix I think I'd make them will-call. I guess I just like having "hard" tickets rather than printouts.

OT: New Addition To the BCB Community
Hey All!
My wife and I brought our daughter into the world this morning at 6:48am! Jordyn weighed in at 9 lbs 13 oz. and 20" long!
I'm not biased -- she's gorgeous. She winked at me around 6:52am as if to say, "Hey Dad, this is the year!" ;-)
Although I haven't been here long (Approx. 6 months), I enjoy being a part of the BCB family.
Thanks to all, and a special thanks to Al for bringing us all together!
Jacque Jones is gone, and I doubt Ivan DeJesus would mind this!
Congrats!!!
Hope mother and daugher are well!

I'm glad babies have Cubs gear to wear now. There wasn't much available when I was little. My younger brother had better luck - though his godfather, a White Sox fan, gave him a little WS windbreaker at his christening. We have a great pic of my Mom holding it with this disgusted look on her face.
Anyway! Cute kid!

Mailed Tickets
For what it's worth -- I just received my bleacher tickets for May 10 against Arizona. That's about 6 weeks in advance of the game. The rest of my tickets are for games after that.
So I would think 6 weeks is a good benchmark.
Been ready
Been ready since the last out of the NLDS.
Listening to some Terry Cashman right now.
We are all waiting for that glorious October night when we finally win it all. Until then we will continue to cheer, never do the wave and hope.
I'm ready for real games...
...the last couple weeks of ST are always the most boring time for me, and I am looking forward to games that matter and how players respond to that.
I have a feeling, this is going to be a year with a lot of twists and turns that are always what you least expect.

I'm so ready for the season....
Even if its 10 below zero and a blizzard, there is nothing like the warmth of Wrigley buzzing with the excitement and hope of another season getting under way. I was at Opening Day 2003 (my only one to date). Perhaps I'm a good luck charm, so I will be making me way up I-55 to give Wrigley Field, its players and of course, the fans, a proper Irish blessing. I will post the blessing later. It's taking me a wee bit longer to compose than most. I guess that's just how anxious we all are to get this year going. So much for getting any sleep this weekend. Or eating a decent meal. Or being productive in any sense of the word.
I'm kind of a big deal

I am so jealous
The only game I am certainly going to at this point is the very last game of the season at Miller Park.
At which, hopefully,
you won't see any starters, as they are getting an additional day of rest to get ready for the playoffs
I'll be there too

I'm jealous
of everyone being able to go to a game this year at Wrigley. My nephew is gettng married in Sept. and he picked a date when the Cubs are not in town. I complained to him but I'm only the uncle. He's marrying a very nice girl but guess what? She's a Sox fan. I told my nephew that the first thing you ask a girl you just meet is not her name but whether she is a Cubs fan or a Sox fan. Apparently her looks made him have a brain fart and he forgot to ask. This will be the first time I will be in Chicago and not see a Cubs game. Oh well, I'll just have to make another trip in October for the WS.

We went down to Wrigley today to pick up all our tickets. I've never been there this close to opening day. The score board is all ready with Monday's games posted. They were hanging the flags around the field. The sunflower seeds were arriving for the clubhouse. It was neat to see all the buzz! I'm so excited!!!
