How I Spent Last September
Being the poor soon-to-be graduate student that I am, I've moved back in with the folks. It was an adjustment for us all, but they softened the blow to my ego by letting me redecorate my old room on their dime. I didn't stop with my room though. The bathroom I share [again] with my younger brother is now a haven of Cubdom.
I know what you're thinking. Why associate the Cubs with a room associated with, well, crap? Honestly, as much as I love the Cubs, I needed a more low-key aesthetic in my bedroom. So no royal blue walls there. Furthermore, my brother is also a fan and he was gung-ho about the project. So, here's the highlights of what I did last September:
These are some vintage-inspired baseball cards of some '07 Cubs. I have another gallery of the all the cards scanned, front and back, if you want to see those too.
The rest of the gallery may be viewed here. Recent, not-yet photographed additions include a Cubs wastebasket, and a metal, arrow shaped "Wrigley Field this way" kinda sign which is appropriately pointed in the right direction. And yes... the pinstripes took for-ev-er.

name your price!
Thanks! I appreciate it, because if I hadn't gone the Supernerd route [degrees in Sociology and now Library Science] I probably would have done interior design.

You did an excellent job. We plan on doing a Badger theme later on this summer. I have discovered themes are fun but they take lots of extra time.

let's go with cool
The bathroom was the only room in the house that we could all agree to Cubbiefy. Believe me, I would have preferred the family room.

What is the distance between the pin stripes?
I was thinking of doing this to a wall in my room but didn't know how far to put them apart.

*thinks*
I think we went with 5 inches between each stripe, and each stripe's width was one inch.

I have pinstripe wallpaper...
... in the room which is BCB headquarters. If I have a chance, maybe I'll post a photo.

Wow!
I love it!
My husband and I rent, so I do not think my landlord would appreciate it.

blue painters tape
Find a shade that's dark enough, and those can be your pinstripes! Easy to remove, and not nearly as much work as painting. ;-)
