Please stop lying
You are so transparently full of crap.

You don't have a contact at the post office who knows anything.

If you did, they still wouldn't be able to find the shirts since you never actually mailed them.

Actually, don't stop.  I'd rather have you post the same apology over and over again.  It's almost like you believe you've done nothing wrong here, and therefore highly entertaining.

I'd really like you to post a lengthy diary detailing what's happened from the beginning.  Start with why you suggested the t-shirt idea in the first place, continue through your refusal to accept paypal, and then detail every time you've posted or emailed someone claiming that you had mailed the shirts or were going to do so in the immediate future.

Les
Or whatever your name is.  I would suggest (if you read the other diary) getting on this.  People are talking police and FBI and all sorts of nutty things.

Maybe you should post emails or communcation you are having with your contact at the post office.

HAHAHA!
police and FBI!?  It was $25!  I ordered one and want it but not worth my time for law enforcement.  It's a sunk cost, and I consider my money gone with no shirt in return.  I'm well over it.  If it shows up in my mailbox, great, if not, oh well.  I learned my lesson.

I didn't order a shirt. But...
out of curiosity I started looking at old BCB shirt threads just to see what shady "Les" has been saying and I found this particularly enjoyable nugget:

"I will contact you tommorrow during the pregame hopefully, Al I am growing thin with my patience with some of the post's that bash us for this.  I respect that we will not have these shirts ready for the playoff's which we would of had, if we had the response money wise that was in response to the first post I ever made about this idea which I still beleive will still come to fruition if we keep at it but I have a request my friend.

It is clear to me that azweber and I are working hard to keep this thing going.  Listen, to all of you that have put the 52 money order's in we are stand up guys and we aren't going anywhere.  We need some support with this idea.  Neither of us will make a dime off this and I cant wait to work by you know what off to send these shirt all over the world."
-Shady Les, 10/2/07

This is seriously comical.  Very high on the unintentional comedy scale.  I sincerely hope that if you all do not get your shirts, at least the money goes to Project 3k, lord knows they shouldn't suffer because some dbag has been taking advantage of everyone here (sorry to resort to namecalling, impossible not to call this guy something).

One more thing, anyone that blames azweber is downright foolish.  All he's had to do this whole time is deal with Les's BS.  Give him a break.  Just my .02.

In Bo I trust.

And another thing...

Huh?
The post office?  Why would you be working with this pseudo contact at a post office when you said before that you UPS-ed them?

I said this in another of the millions of threads that have cluttered Al's blog over the past few months, but... guys, you've been scammed.  Clearly you're not getting your shirts or your money back.

Look man
you have been somewhat appropriate as of late but please stop saying the money will not be gotten back.

Actually, keep it up, I will be happy to be the one who can prove you wrong.

That's sad
Real f'ing sad.

USPS and UPS are two different companies people are using the two interchangably.

I really hope this is a misunderstanding, but it doesn't surprise me at all that this could potentially happen.  Afterall, we all are complete strangers..

by cubsfan2883 on Mar 4, 2008 2:40 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Not gonna lie
But I'm really happy that I'm one of those people who don't purchase T-Shirts for a website I go to often.

Don't get me wrong, if I were to buy a shirt it would be a BCB one but after reading all this I feel lucky.

by ak123 on Mar 4, 2008 3:09 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

I didn't jump in this at the time...
...and I wish I would have, cuz the shirts looked fantastic.  All I know is if we ever do decide to do this again, I can help facilitate another order.  I hope everyone gets their shirts, however.

Nice thought but
Next time (if there is such a thing) I think it might be best if there's some kind of deal with Cafe Press or a similar place where the shirts can be ordered and shipped by the dealer who actually makes them. Less risk, speedier service, less angst.

Az, thank you for all your work, I in no way blame you for any of this mess.

It's actually kinda funny, I've lost weight, it's been so long that if I do get a shirt, it probably won't fit anymore. I'll wear it anyway, though. They are cool shirts.
