Fukudome HR crowd reaction videos

My favorite type of video on YouTube is the crowd reaction video: a short video from inside the ballpark of a great event.  You may get better pictures and accounts of the event on the field from the television coverage.  But you can't get a real sense of what it would have been like to BE THERE.

Some decent crowd shots of the Fukudome HR have already been posted on YouTube.

Here's the Fukudome HR from the LF lower deck, with the video starting immediately after the ball left the park:

Here it is from RF upper deck; this one's a bit better because you get the entire at bat.  Unfortunately, the filmer loses the picture in the pandemonium that followed the HR. The old faithful "Let’s go Cubbies [clap, clap, clap clap clap]" chant is clearly heard:

This one from the LF upper deck is my current favorite.  You get the entire at-bat and the entire reaction. You can clearly hear the "Foo-Koo-Dough-May [clap, clap, clap clap clap]" chant, which is what I heard on TV but worried I only hoped that I heard it. LF 1, RF 0 in the chant department:

I would love to hear from dragonsfanatic on chant suggestions for Dome. What did his fans chant in Japan? Can any original, Japanese-language Dome-related chants translate to 4 syllables to fit the rhythm of the great American "Let's go ____ ____" chant?

[Edit: It's a shame that we don't appear to be able to embed YouTube clips in FanPosts.  Unless it's just because I'm html-dumb, it appears to be the SB Nation party line that one may only post YouTube videos in the FanShots section, but without the context of a diary-type post.]

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation, Bleed Cubbie Blue, or Al Yellon, editor-in-chief. FanPost opinions are, however, valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

Let's go Kosuke

We mostly used "Kosuke!" for chant in the bleachers. You can hear it in this YouTube footage for 2006 pennant clincher when Dome drove in the winning run (maybe 0:45-1:15 is the best part). So "Let's go KOH-skay" would work?
Anyway he's already yours and you can do it in American way.... BTW we call him Dome in regular conversation like here, but call him Kosuke in stadium chant where he can hear from us directly.

I hope our whole lineup get infected by his plate discipline!

Man, if he hits behind A-Ram all year... A-Ram's gonna see a ton of stuff to hit!

Ed Lynch is STILL on the Cubs payroll, as our D-Backs scout in Phoenix. Lynch attends all 81 D-Back home games with a notepad in hand. Really paid off for us!

Nice

I missed all the scoring yesterday because i only taped the first 8 innings due to the rain delay. I've been looking for Fukudome's full at bat. Thanks for posting this.

Video no longer available...

Jacque Jones is gone, and I doubt Ivan DeJesus would mind this!

I hate to be a site stickler like this...

...but wouldn't these videos be better off posted under Fanshots?

Don't get me wrong -- thanks for posting them. One of the things I love about YouTube is how it lets those of us not at the game get a little bit of a feel for how it was in the stands. But, in the spirit of making BCB a little better organized and efficient, I can't help making this suggestion.

Ladies and gentlemen, your 2008 Chicago Cubs starting outfield: Soriano-Pie-Fukudome. Let it be.

you're not being a stickler

i addressed that in my post. I wanted to aggregate multiple videos in one place, with some context and a description of each, which you can't do in FanShots. I did post my favorite, the one from the LF upper deck, in FanShots and at least it actually embeds there.

I was messing around with an image stitching app and came up with this extreme widescreen view of Wrigley (a Dodger game in 2005). I liked the way it turned out and figured I'd share it.

Did anyone see the front page of the Trib. sports section today. There is a huge picture of Favre in a Bears jersey.

Does this totally freak anyone else out? My mind doesn't even know what to do about it.
