NY fans: Extra Innings for Free on Time Warner

Just as a heads up to any New York City BCBers that do not already have a subscription to MLB Extra Innings, all this week Time Warner is running a free promotion of the package.  I can't remember the exact channels, but I think they are in the 470s.  It's through the weekend, so it should make for some goooooood watchin'.

Not just Time Warner

All cable companies that have MLB Extra Innings available (as well as DirecTV) should have the games available for free this week to anyone with a digital cable box (though I assume there are some exceptions to the rule). This promotion has been going on for years. I was watching some games via Charter in western Connecticut last night.

Thanks for the clarification.

I used to be "Jones," but I got swooped on the redesign.

Comcast in Chicago is doing this as well.

However, if you want to sign up and save $40, TODAY is the deadline. It's $159 till tonight, after that it's $199.

Some might get lucky...with other sports

Those who have the NHL Package might accidently keep the MLB package for a period of time....maybe.

This happened to me during the NHL season, on Time Warner/SD. The NHL Package started first (the NHL season gets underway before the NBA starts) and on came the NBA Free Preview -- TWC didn't turn it off until the All-Star Game.

So, I viewed half of the NBA package for free.

And, Al

Since I purchased the NHL Package, TWC/SD gave me EI for 129-dollars. That's the second year in a row they have deeply discounted the package.

Also, I paid 119-dollars for the NHL Package, another deep discount.

That's because they were so happy you bought the NHL package.

You might be the only person in San Diego to ever buy that.

I know of at least 1 other person in the market!

For a while, I DID think I was the only subscriber to "Center Ice...."

OT: Noticed on the 25 man roster

That Reed Johnson has yet to be added to it.

Also....

on the stats page, it's really really hard to read the names and their stats with the blue background and I believe black fonts.

Send this info...

... to bugreport (at) sbnation (dot) com. There are some known issues with the roster and stats we are getting and they are working on them, but I think they'd like to know this. Thanks.

So

I don't remember Directv showing both Home and Away telecasts. Right now every game has 2 channels. Is this new? I like it.
