Anyone going to the game tonight?

Just be prepared for a lot of traffic down there tonight.  This happens all the time down at the sports complex.

Along with the Cubs-Phillies game, the Sixers also have a home game at the same time.  And the Phantoms (AHL) have a game at the Spectrum.  There are going to be around 55,000 people around the complex for 3 different events.

Just giving people going to the game tonight a head up!

Will be there tomorrow

In section 111 I think.

I was there last year for the Saturday game that was rain delayed. By the time it was over a lot of Phillie fans were very intoxicated and were harassing Cubs fans. Some guy even slapped my butt while I was at the urinal and told me "Nice job signing Soriano" (I was wearing a Soriano shirt and he was in the middle of his early season slump).

The 145 and 144 sections looked alright. Nothing too rowdy over there.

It might be rowdy tonight

The Flyers start their playoff series against the Caps tonight at the same time. 3 out of the 4 major sports team (yes, hockey is considered a major sport in Philadelphia) are playing at the same time tonight.

Phillies fans aren't as bad as Eagles fans. As long as you don't go to $1 dog night/day where they sell $1 hotdogs. Those games bring out a ton of college kids who get hammered in the parking lots and cause a lot of problems inside. A lot of fights at those games and kids will throw hot dogs at anyone. A lot of people want to the Phillies to stop dollar dog night but they're too popular.

Section 145 and 144

You're in Left center right by Ashburn Alley. Those are pretty good seats. If you catch a homerun by the Cubs, the fans are going to expect you to throw it back and they will be very vocal if you don't.

Your seats are right by Asburn Alley which has a lot of specality stands including Tony Luke's (great roast pork sandwiches), Chickie and Pete's (crab fries) and Rick's Steaks (cheesesteaks). There are also a few specialty beer stands which have good microbrews from Philadelphia microbreweries.

Ashburn Alley is always crowded and a lot of people just stand there during the entire game.

Have a great time

I was there

I was there yesterday. And sat in 114. GREAT seats. Bought them from Stubhub last week.. 40 bucks a seat. Not a bad buy... AT ALL. Great Seats really.

The traffic last night.. was a nightmare. I luckily was aware of all three events. And assumed that had an effect. That was horrible though.
