Just took a walk around Wrigley and saw....

Michael Wuertz replacing the battery on his Escalade with a friend! I guess that's cool that he won't spend a couple of hundo to just call a shop. He got his hands dirty, and had his own tools. Let's just hope he didn't hurt his hands! ;-)

But at the same time I wonder if maybe he just needed a jump because he left an interior light on during the road trip?

No practice today either btw.

Thats pretty cool

I was hoping to see the whole team last night in Philly. When I was talking to the United agent he told me they were chartering the Cubs. I asked for an upgrade...denied.

With the exception of yesterday....

he has been pretty good this year. Not sure what was going on yesterday.

Those were the first 3 runs

he has given up at all since last season, ST included.

Maybe that's why he pitched so poorly yesterday.

"Did I forget to turn off the headlights on my Escalade?"

WHACK! Bruntlett home run.

"Maybe it was the interior light."

WHACK! Ruiz single.

"Then again, I may have left the stereo on."

WHACK! Jenkins single.

"Oh, hi, Larry. What's up? Oh, I suck today? Yeah, I know. Well, there was no one base when I came in. Plus, I'm not sure if my Escalade is OK back in Chicago. Alright, alright, I'll bear down. Throw my slider, right."

"OK, here comes Werth. I can get him out easy. Waitaminute, I DIDN'T LEAVE THE DAMN THING RUNNING, DID I?"

WHACK!

Didn't think of it.

The three little brats waiting for autographs didn't even want to tell me if they knew if a practice was going to happen, and I'm no dummy they know. So I walked around to the hole in the wall to scope it out. Next time I'll whip out the camera phone.

Wonder if his friend was a catcher...

'cause then it'd be a battery replacing a battery!

[...groan...]

Ooooh.... tough crowd. tough crowd. Lemme tell you. I don't get no respect.
- Tried to go to a Pirates Marlins game one time, but they wouldn't let me in - kept telling me it was a sellout.
- MDBNIU calls me a Debbie Downer. No respect... no respect.
- Take my Pie... please!
- The attendance at my last FOX special was so bad, even MLB wouldn't black it out.

Thank you, thank you. You've been a wonderful audience. I'll be here all week. Why? I have no idea...
