The Marty Loves the Cubs t-shirts.
Isn't it just me, but would anybody else LOVE to see Wrigley filled with fans wearing a "marty loves the Cubs" t-shirt? Why doesn’t somebody print some up for the next time the Reds are in town? Make it look like the “I Love The 80’s” logo from VH1. Ha… I would love to hear Marty’s lovable verbals after seeing a shirt like that. Maybe a cartoonist could sketch up a picture of Marty and the Cubs bear hugging, or maybe him holding its arm up in the air and waving "number 1."
Onery... yes I know. Still, I feel something of the sort is deserving.

It might just be you.
IMO, the sooner this story goes away, the better. Anyone on this site knows that he simply made generalizations based on the actions of 15 individual people. Let him be a hater, we’ve got ballgames to win.

I think that would be pretty funny.
Sort of a very even-handed way of Cub fans responding to the situation. It’s a lot better than the reception he’s likely to get, which will only validate his biases.

By the time the Reds come back to Chicago...
July 8, 9 and 10th….will anyone really care?
As I've told you before, I never repeat myself.

I'm thinking of getting
Ronnie Woo Woo a seat behind the broadcast booth.
Just think of Ronnie yelling “Marty Woo, Marty Woo” in his ear.
Terrific payback for the halfwit.

Hey!
You’ve finally figured out something useful for “He Who Shall Not Be Named”!!!
Get him out of the bleachers and have him do something that will really help us out. Great idea!

Eh...
Yeah, you guys are right. On these boards, the whole situation probably has been overmentioned. Still, it would be kinda cool, at some later date when it’s all been nearly forgotten, to see a shirt as a reminder. Something along the lines of us remembering the whole Lee Elia tirade. It’s just another moment in Cub history… which will be remembered, especially when we are winning the World Series this Oct!
